In 1983 I have served as watchman at Hemant Daa's bungalow at 14th Khar road Mumbai ..A great human being ..he allowed me to continue my study...paid my fees..before my monthly salary...very loving...

He was a very talented singer, has given memorable melodies but in all the songs voice is same and hence doesn't suit for various actors in films. Mohamed Rafi Sab had the capacity to sing in the voice and style of the actor and therefore is more successful for film songs.

The great singer. Melodious voice आपकी आवाज की विविधता बहुत शानदार है। संगीत के क्षेत्र में आपका योगदान अमूल्य है।

Old is gold and will remain so forever. I feel so lucky to be able to hear these maestros of music , mohammed rafi, hemanth kumar, talat mahmood, and S.D. Burman. And among female singers, I like the following ones lata mangeshkar, geeta dutt, suraiya, noor jahan, mubarak begum, suman kalyanpur, hemlata and ofcourse asha bhonsle. All these singers had golden voice.

Hemanta Ji is my most favourite. A true genious...But I think he was underrated in India ( except Bengal). Is it because he was from W. Bengal? I am from Bangladesh.

I don't belong to his time.. my parents belong to his time... Now we are in 2021.... and one common thing of us is we all listen Hemanta Mukherjee.... I wish our next generation will also listen the Heavenly voice of Hemanta Mukherjee.

I was introduced to this magical voice at the age of four by my father. Hemanta Mukherjee's Bengali song RUNNER and GAAER BODHU and I fell in love with his voice. As I learnt about him in my later life, I started respecting him like God embodied. He was a great singer with magical voice no doubt, he was a man with great heart too. Lataji remembered him as a saint who is chanting hymns in baritone voice from the temple of God. And best was this evaluation. He can be heard and felt only. Time will never be able to silence his voice for thousands of years to come.

Hemanto Mukhopadhyay's contribution in Indian music industry(Hindi and Bengali) is unmatchable. There is a bengali song Ei Raat Tomar Amar ( bengali version of Ye Nayan Dare Dare; though the tune of Tum Pukaar Lo is also identical) from the movie Deep Jeley Jai. That song is pure magic( he composed the music and also lend his divine voice). In Bengali film industry, Hemanto was to Uttam Kumar is what Md.Rafi was to Shammi Kapoor! We r blessed to b able to listen such a golden voice.

Old is gold Where such melodious voices have gone. Today we don't find such singers who can never be forgotten. When ever we feel like listening those voices, we have to connect to old recordings only.

One of the most beautiful great singer and excellent super voice, the days are gone,we have to feel it, so may be once again they have to born in India, there is no words to say for me 💔😢😢I love hemant kumar, Kishore da Mohd rafi, they were gems of our country, thanks for your lovely post God bless you

These melodious movie songs remind me those days when I was a student of class 8,9,10... I can't express my feelings now at this age of eighty. Simply this song listening is a memory. Feel immense pleasures as well as some melancholy. Thanks for the video here. I am grateful to you all.21/7/21

आजकल के चलताऊ गीतकार, गायक, संगीतकार, संगीत विशेषज्ञ, नए-नए वाद्ययंत्र लेकर भी पुराने जैसे मधुर गीत बना ही नहीं सकते।

I had a very stressful, tiring, nerve wrenching week. Got some relief at last, took shower, changed clothes and now listening to Hemant Kumar...to find some peace in life...

Real gem of music world. Very melodious voice.

Golden Voice since my childhood till at the age of 67 yr. Thanks to God .

The last song is the best. Zindagi ke dene vaale, Zindagi ke lene vaale, preeth mera chhinke ke bata, tuje kya milaa...... The people who wrote those word were poets. Not the nonsense we hear these days. Rest in Peace Hemant Da. Your songs will live forever.
