Me not anderstand English

En ce soir de Noël, on ne peut pas faire plus juste. Pomme, ma chanteuse préférée, chante au cimetière de Laeken où ma famille maternelle est enterrée. Mon grand-père et ma grand-mère maternelle sont tous les deux décédés cette année. Ma grand-mère a pour nom de famille Leroy, comme la seule tombe dont on voit le nom dans la vidéo. Je n’étais pas là pour son enterrement car je suis partie à l’autre bout du monde... En ce soir de Noël, je suis seule à l’autre bout du monde. Ma famille me manque. Bruxelles me manque. Et Pomme me ramène ici par ses notes qui s’envolent vers le sublime ! Merci

The main intention of Christian churches, Catholic ones especially has always been worshiping God. The catholic church has always been very artistic because it understood a long time ago that in art you can worship God. I like that in the video the respect for the church and the holy images is very present, such a shame the atheist comments that never know the concept of respect.

You are very correct about the church being an instrument. It's a bit too chicken/egg to know which came first I think. But I think the choiral music back then was written to take advantage of the accoustics of the church buildings, and possibly the churches themselves built that way with this in mind after a time.

I was looking for a song that I heard in a night club in France, circa 1996 with the French word "L'oiseau" (but not the song "L'oiseau et l'enfant"). Although I did not find the song I was looking for, I found this sublime enchanting song. Saving it to listen to often in the future.

C'est Noël ici, à NYC et je viens de me lever.... cette chanson a été la première chose que j'ai entendu ce matin. C'est une belle chanson chanté par une telle jolie voix.

Cette sonorité est génial.

The church looks like it is a thousand years old, and in all that time it has never witnessed such a beautiful sound as Pomme and her autoharp. And the acapella coloratura vignette at the end just confirms the depth of her talent, emotion and intellect. She is a wonderful singer and, I suspect, a wonderful human being.

YT recommended me this video exactly 3 years ago- in January 2020.I was delighted then like you ...what a voice, what a girl, what a music🤩I was following her career during these 3 years and for me she is still the best and charming singer I,ve ever listened to.She is just fantastic and talented😀. I just found out that she is nominated again as a best Feminine artist and best Record in French music awards for 2022😁
