One of my favorite things about this song is how the verses sound like they’re rushed to finish before the refrain kicks in. It makes it feel like there’s pressure and tension.

I always enjoyed this song back in the 90s. It was so different from other alternative songs.

This was incredible! I thought I woke up in an alternate reality where we had full-blown internet and KZread in the 90's and Nada Surf didn't exist, but this song still does. Amazing

In the early 2000's, I was part of the morning announcements at my high-school. We were able to play music for the 5 to 10 minutes before the morning announcements began. I played the original Nada Surf song at least once a week over the loudspeakers for a year and nobody did anything about it. I guess the teachers and school staff knew a banger when they heard it.
