I just read through the comments and many of them are rude and hurtful. Why on earth did those people feel the need to insult this lovely lady who was kind enough to share her tutorial? Shame on them.

Ronalyn Hurley because people have no respect. They don't realize it takes less energy to be nice and say positive things. Rather than bash other people and bring all that negative energy on themselves. They are just unhappy people.

Thank you for saying what a lot of us are feeling. I think the great majority of rude comments seem to belong to young people.{ sorry to say} As you become more wiser and mature you can see how awful you come across to others { I pray} and feel foolish and sorry for being so selfish and bratty. Only time will tell.
Holy shit! Can’t believe KZread recommended this to me again. This is what started my clay obsession when I was younger! This is great to see hahahaha

Yes! I can’t wait to try it! I also love how fast the video was at showing it as some videos drag on way too long. Thank you.
I am an Indian women ND going to start my beads studio so it's just awesome so specified way you do that thank you dear.God bless ND love you.
If you're making a large piece -- like a candle holder or a small vase, for instance -- you can cut very thin slices and lay them out randomly (or in a pattern) on a plain polymer clay background and roll them into that background. In fact, you can use different sizes, too, to add another point of interest to it.
This was the video I watched to make my very first cane. I love her videos, I wished she made more!

Hi, to keep the clay clean its important to keep your hands clean.... We use baby wipes to clean before use and when we change colour.... To avoid fingerprints keep your clay firm - Cernit polymer clay is good for this but fingerprints are unavoidable sometimes.... When baked give your piece a light sanding with wet n dry fine grade sandpaper, this will remove fingerprints and help polishing too!

I ran across your channel and love it! Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and helpful to a beginner. I’m a metal smith who is looking to expand my options for different types of cabachons to set in silver and copper. Thank you so much! 👏🏻♥️
I'm so excited!!!!!! I just followed Karen in the tutorial and made my very first cane!!!! Thanks Karen, I love to watch you and you are so good at teaching.
I happen to think your voice is nice. you do beautiful work. keep it up. thank you for sharing your knowledge. Unfortunately there are people out there that have nothing better to than insult other people. If that haven't learned already what you put out comes back to you. being rude and unkind will will find a place in their life. Pay no attention to the rudeness. your an awesome clay artist.
Loved it! I will now tackle my on flower cane. You did a brilliant job showing how to make one. Thank-you for taking the time to teach!
My first venture into flower canes, and this tutorial is excellent!!! Thank you ;)
I think your method is the best I ever seen in youtube. I'll try it, thanks for this video!
I've watched many tutorials and none as charming and knowledgeable as yours. I like the Toblerone reference.
I always wondered how they little color got in the petal, and wow on the shrinking of the flower! Just squish in and roll it long! It's like magic, super cool! Thanks for the detailed crafting tips 🤗❤️👍🏾💯
Referring to the rolls as sausages is the most Britain thing I’ve heard. I love it!
Oh my goodness!! Thank you! I’ve watched others make cane flowers and it always seemed so intricate and difficult! You did this so easily! I can do this!! Thank you!!
That is so adorable and live how it's simple- looking to either put a bunch of little ones on one bead, or keep karge- great for that thank you; i also love how you have many variations to spark my inspiration- the pendants i made once are blended- so i will try blended petals (if i can figure it out lol)
So clear and easy for beginners to understand. Thank you.
I’ve never heard of a flower cane before. That was fascinating to watch. Thank you.
Merely had to say thanks for the excellent video. I genuinely loved it and will be waiting for more videos from you :)
Love the way she talks, so cute!
Totally awesome! 🤩🤩😁Very nice, clear instructions! I've been holding onto a gift of polymer clay ,afraid to mess it up. Now I'm feeling like I can try this ! Thank you!
I managed to make this cane its my first one which I was able to reduce without it becoming a mess :P tyvm
Wonderful! I learned a lot and will attempt a flower cane! Thank you!
Only 7 years later, but I'm just learning how to make this! I wanted to add some in a mosaic I'm making. Thank you so much for your clear and concise instructions! Easily, the best video I've seen! You do such an amazing job! It's Christmas Eve now, and I'm ready for Christmas! Happy Holidays to you and yours! Much love!❤️
Obrigada ..obrigada por passar seus conhecimentos ..Deus abençoe grandemente ;;maravilhoso seu trabalho.
First love your accent, I’m in Texas, absolutely love the video! I’m brand new to this art. T facinates me the creativity of young women as yourself. I’m a great-grandma ready to learn. Thankyou God bless Darlene
Thank you so much for this lovely, informative, super detailed video, Karen! Your flower canes are beautiful

How long do you cook cut slices of flower canes for and what temp please. New to this and want to make a necklace and matching earrings. Great video xx
Love from India
i liked being able to see your hands up close and your face the whole time.
apparently you should only pull and and stretch and not roll but i guess your way works too :p it just keeps the petals even :)
I can't wait to try this! I'm working with polymer clay for the first time, and decided to take on a large project for a beginner... But, that's me, I never go into anything easy...lol! This tutorial is a great help. Thank you! :)
because of your simple yet beautiful showmanship and handy helping tips, this is one of the VERY best cane making tutorial I've yet to watch! thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

IKR! It's AMAZING!
Thank you very much for the very instructional and inspirational video! I've watched a few different cane example videos here on KZread but this is first one that really explained the procedure thoroughly enough for me to understand the process. I'd also like to compliment you on your camera presence, you seem very at ease in front of the TWO cameras. And by the way, this is the first time that I've seen two cameras employed here on KZread in a tutorial so kudos for that! You seem like a very multi-talented individual and I hope that you keep on making these videos and sharing your talent with the world! Best wishes from Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA.
Thank you. I have learned so much from your videos. You make it so simple to follow your instructions. Listening to your accent is a bonus. :) Thanks
Oh dear.... You are so talented. I'm truly impressed with how easy you make it looking. Thanks a lot for sharing your creativity. Hugs from Spain
This was wonderful Karen, thank you for such a simple tutorial that was lovely to watch
You have the cutest voice I have ever heard in my life. Thank You so much for this tutorial.
Beautiful Thank you for showing us
Just like making Blackpool Rock! Great video, thank-you.
i love the way you had your face in the corner so people that can not hear any thing can unstand want you are doing and how to do it, so a big thumbs up from me. and by the way you did a good gob on the flowers you made. :)
You did an incredible job!! I can't believe the pettiness of some of the comments though. It's pretty evident that you realized you had six rolls -- or as you called them "sausages" (too cute!) .. so you set one aside to make five. And yet 'craftyangie vega' spews out "I think you need to learn to count first". Give me a break notsoCraftyAngie Vega. In any event, your work is AWESOME. Thank you so much for sharing the video with us!! :0)
I am thankful that you aired this video I would like to see more
Thank you for an easy to follow tutorial! Do you have to make your petals that large or can you start smaller if you're making beads? I've never tried before, but learning from your video is making me excited🧡💛💚💙💜
wow. thats amazing. im just getting into polymer. that looks so hardcore and time consuming. really pretty though. id buy just the canes to chop myself.
merci pour cette superbe video c'est vraiment très joli je m'abonne
Could listen to her voice all day #love it
Thank you for this wonderfully tutorial now I will try to make a flower.
Thank you very much for sharing. Wonderful to watch your followers.🌹🌹
@Libby Taberski I totally agree
Fascinating how that is done. Thank you.
Beautiful video Karen! totally loved it! thank you for the share!

Love your ascent
Thank you so very much for the great video. I've always wanted to make these & now I know how. You did a great job!! That was so cool seeing that you could keep rolling it & it kept it shape. 🌸One question, you said be sure to condition your clay. What does that mean?
New subscriber, Thank you so much for this video. This will help me so much to make simple flower canes.
I thought so too! Loved the way she says "air bubbles". Too cute!
Thank you for sharing. I just found this video😍 This is a great reminder of how to make these canes. I took a class several years ago and I had forgotten all about working with polymer clay. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I don't understand why such negative comments are given..Thank you very much for this great video!!!
Ohmygoodness thank you so much for such an informational video! This tutorial was everything I needed and couldnt find! 😊
I have a new found appreciation for all the polymer clay beads I have this looks like alot of work but also appreciate this video and your creativity
Perfect instructions, thanks! One question: how long in advance can I make the canes for use in a class with seniors? Can I cut the beads 24 hours in advance? Or is it necessary to cut the roll on the spot as needed for making beads ?
belle video et bien expliqué merci
hi! the petals are a bit uneven but i suggest you squeeze and pull then when it is almost the size you want roll. great tutorial by the way :D
AHH MY GAWWDD! That made me cry soooo hard!
trabalho lindo
going to be new to polymer clay and your video was so informative it was nicely done. your work is beautiful just as you are and your voice you sound so nice and calming like a teacher. my voice is raspy for a girl and I don't like it. I would love to see more videos from you as a lot of people on here said as well. and like a lot have mentioned ppl are rude it's the internet.. if you didn't show your face to or have a steady camera or didn't explain things as good as you did they would of all complained about that.. they had nothing left to say.. if people want to see the tutorial they won't be bothered by a voice or sweater or whatever. please continue making more.. god bless and thankyou
Brilliant. Just made my first flower cane. How do I keep the cane from drying out/storage? I have rolled it in wrap but is this good enough? It is Premo. will it dry out?
I love this. I am a beginner and this has helped me so much. Thank you for sharing.
This is a lovely video. Easy to follow. I’ve heard of Cirnet polymer clay; I’ve heard it’s better than Sculpey? However, it’s not as easy to get in US. I’m newer to this art medium. Trying to learn everything I can.
LOVE IT! thank you.
I like it so much! .... What kind of paste you use?
Beautiful.. Ur creativity as well as u
I thought this was very well explained with good visual instructions. Well done.
Thank you for sharing. It’s truly beautiful. 😊❤️👍
Do you have a follow up video on how to bake the beads? Using toothpicks and aluminum?
Thank u for making this video. I learned a lot just from watching. Awesome!
ok my mind was blown when u did the small one this was great
beautiful and well explained tutorial, thank you.
MAESTRA DE MAESTRAS EXCELENTE
thank you for breaking it down!!! I keep seeing tutorials with no steps just putting it together
I love your voice, its so calming :) and thank you for the tutorial!
I've seen dozens of videos about polymer clay, in 4 languages, and it's the first time somebody explains why there shouldn't be any air bubbles in the cane! Now I understand why my canes or sausages etc break sometimes! THANK YOU!
best method ever seen amazing :) love ur tutorial videos
I love this I will be trying this technic
gracias, desde España
First I want to thank you for your time, I was looking for a video that explain the canes more clear, and you do an excellent job! Thank you a million time!
That's is so cool . I was wondering how to make a flower. Now I no how. Thank you. 😊
