I do love from scratch - but I think the glazing videos are very helpful. So keep on Stuart - Love it all.
Someone once said, “a painting is NEVER finished. You simply stop working on it.”
I happen to enjoy your glazing videos. A very important step in finishing your painting using the indirect painting technique.
Professor this was an excellent lesson on the finishing touches on trees, which I found very helpful. I really love the glazing you did in the sky, & the added clouds on the right made it look amazing. You achieved some really nice distance on the right. Very clever. When you were talking about the challenges of editing, and a viewer’s comments about seeing your cat on the windowsill, staring out into the world just pop up, I burst out laughing. You may have replied, “That was your moment of Zen. BE the cat.” 😁
Verrrry interesting😊 in just an hour you managed to bring life into the painting and it is truly beautiful!
Stuart, I enjoy watching you finish off a painting as much or more than starting one. I think because I spend more more time in the "finishing-off" stage than any other, and I am trying to get better at that so I can spend less time in it.
This is incredibly beautiful, I love your sense of humor!
At the time I watched your first video my initial thought when you started was, what is this now?! I'd never saw this style of painting before but I continued watching was amazed at how beautiful it turned out and I've been watching ever since. To another beautiful one. May the Lord grant you grace and mercy
FANTASTIC work my Friend! God Bless.
Never thought about using my finger nail to burnish a hair groove. Nice trick. 👍
This is a great composition. I’m not fussy about the brush stroke foreground. Love the scene as a whole. Well done. Thank you.

Thank you very much!
Great sky per always!
Bravo. Well done!!!!
I like how this one turned out. That extra bit of colour really made a difference! I've got a few that are rather dark. I'll have to make the attempt to sort them out. Thank you for all the inspiration you give!
Thankyou you are wonderful
You are the Master 👌
I also paint Up and Downy species but your point about tension being diagonal was very informative- as usual. Thank you - and I love the different tidbits of language you come up with. Great work!
❤❤ wonderful and enticing, bravo 🤩 I like what you said about the dreaded NFT, scammers. I get so many myself and it’s very frustrating at times. If they were all genuinely interested in buying my original paintings I would be financially stable. A lot use the same script which I can now spot a mile away.
The sky transition into the land on the right is amazing!
Watching this video really helped with the process where I think I'm going wrong. I'm looking forward to reworking some of my pics.v. Ps. To help with cardio repair.... 1tsp of cayenne pepper a day will sort out all issues with your arteries and veins.
I never learned about glazing until I watched you. You are a master of the technique. Keep demonstrating these.
Hi Stuart. I really love the painting shown at the 1:00 minute mark. Really breathtaking sky. Is there a video where you painted that one? You paint skies like no one else.
KITTY 🥺❤️ So excited to watch and draw along with you. Thank you for teaching us to create, sir.
This sky looks so real to me I almost caught the clouds moving ! Haha, no I have not been drinking... you are just that good.
The greenery on the right is very bright compared with the sky at the mo.

But I think it's easier to say "that's the unexpected glory of the natural world!" than to risk spoiling it.
Stuart, Your work is, of course, amazing. Can you explain a little about your mediums? Are you thinning your paint? If so with what? Also do you paint on a dry canvas? Thank you in advance. Michael.
Red Ochre is very close to burnt sienna anyhow. Red ochre being calcined iron oxide is usually more transparent and a greater tinting strength.
I love your videos!❤. Thanks so much for sharing your art, skills and experience with the world! 🎉👏🏻❤

Thank you! Cheers!
Stuart, your talking about what’s on your palette is anything but boring. I was trying to guess colors you were using, and I was correct! Sap green, Payne’s grey, and Red Ochre.
I do a lot of untidifying. Mostly by accident.
I just saw an ad about a condition called "attr"? (If I got it right) Its usually misdiagnosed as heart disease, but heart is a symptom, not the cause. Its a treatable hereditary condition, that has something to do with the unfolding of proteins. Thyroid, back & joint pain, other symptoms occur from it. Its the first I've heard of it. Thought I'd pass it on, in case your not aware either.
Hi Stuart. How long do you wait before you put a final glaze of oil on your dry painting?
I hope you can help me. I finished an oil painting and varnished it. When I took it in the light the next day I saw dust specs all over it. How do you make a dust free environment? We also have two cats so sometimes that’s a problem.

I've had that problem too, and I find it better to varnish in the garage. More bugs but less dust.
