Polymer Clay Seahorse, part 2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello and welcome back! In this video I finish off this polymer clay seahorse project! This is a time lapse sculpting demonstration were in a glimpse I show the inner workings of how I manage to sculpt, all in stunning 4k video quality! (when I get the camera settings right at least lol)
This project was baked in a conventional oven at 275º for a little over 1 hour. I like to let my work 'age' for several hours to ensure it reaches full strength. (it's fragile when hot) The plate this seahorse sits on was hand sanded to remove unevenness and trash. The coloring for the seahorse was created using pastel chalks. All colored clay was from Sculpey's Premo and the scrap clay was... well, scrap clay lol
Please please PLEASE like and share this video to help me out? Visit my channel for many more clay projects and more! Subscribe and become a clay buddy, it's free!

Love it. A tip with the pastels, less is more and baby wipes are a savior. If you get pastel where you don't want it, A little wipe with a baby wipe takes it off pretty efficiently. I don't work without baby wipes. lol. Just the cheap like $1 ones I can find. I use them for everything from wiping my hands when changing colors, getting TLS or bake and bond off my hands, cleaning my glass work surface after working with pastel or before I start to get any dust off my glass. They come in handy a lot. Best wishes and keep up the amazing work ^.^

+Floraphine For the past few months it's been difficult to make videos, but lately situations are more suitable to make more videos... One thing that slows me down terribly is my outdated PC =( I have almost zero steady playback and it takes about 2-3 hours to mixdown a 6-7 minute video.. When doing the audio part I have to turn off the video part to even "hear" what I'm saying! I found a pre-leased workstation (computer) from Tigerdirect that's only $399, originally $1700!!! It has 2 CPU's in too.. Well, anyhow... it's my ultimate goal to do a video a week, possibly even 2 videos. In the meantime I appreciate you sticking around during my absence. And thank you!!

That is great! Love how you made that plate. :) I love liquid clay. I use another brand also for its clarity so I mostly use it to actually make things. Still trying to get a decent hollow bead with it. :p - Heidi

+BlackCat2 hollow beads? Question, do they _need_ to be hollow? Reason I'm asking is I once seen some lightweight sculpey but can't remember where... I'm assuming you want them hollowed for the reduced weight? And thank you!

hi what I use to make hollow beads is biodegradable packaging peanuts they dissolve with water what you do is take the peanuts and make a smooth bead with a little water not to much keep adding till you get the size you want cover with scrap clay bake then make a hole on both end needs to be big enough for a needle tools and warm water to dissolve the bio peanut then cover with your bead with canes you can also cut the bead in half and then dissolved the peanut glue back together again with liquid clay
