These are beautiful! So when you glue the studs on the back and put resin on the stud as well do you have to put them again under the resin lamp?
I absolutely love these!!! Gorgeous! Question. What do you do with your leftover clay?
Absolutely beautiful..thank you for sharing❤
Love the final result.

@@TheCloverPatchClayCompany Beauty! Please tell me, what is the thickness of the polymer clay part before applying the resin?
The are gorgeous. But what made it go from white back to red?

These are gorgeous. What make is your gloves? Thanking you in advance.
This is beautiful I'm wondering is this possible to do with air dry clay Thanks in advance🤔
Hi beautiful video and also not too hard to do and follow. Do you need to put the OVEN-BAKE CLAY ADHESIVE in to the clay in order for it to get hard and bake? Do I need to buy it or can I still make and bake with out it?
Adore your designs!!! ❤ I want to know what's resin de you used, mines get sticky 😢 so it's the resin or It's the lamp, I don't know how much time it takes to dry it all.
New subbie here! I'm so glad I found you! Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous!

Welcome!! Thank you so much for the support!:)
Do you let it dry BEFORE you did the mica and leaf? Or let dry after but before you make cane?
Love your marbling techniques... Could you link the lighter that you use to remove the bubbles?

Thank you! We use a Bic wand lighter, you can find them in most stores and amazon:)
Love your videos! Are you trimming off the paint of the cane? In the video, you see the cane with the white paint all over it and then the camera shows the cane without any white around it, all red. Thank you so much in advance!

When I was finished making the cane I put it aside for the night. I covered it with plastic wrap to protect it from my cats (lol) and when I took the plastic wrap off it did take off some of the outside paint. But the white veining within was not affected/changed. It may have had a bit more white veining where the edges would have met otherwise but not a significant amount.
Never knew such great tutorials existed i want to make this at home

You first bake in oven then you let it cool then you apply resin coat then you keep it in uv lamp
What is the use of bake n bond? Won’t they still stay together when you just smush the clay together?
toll danke
Can we use alcholic colour to make colours?
Those are beautiful! My resin pulls my flat earrings curved when put in the Uber light to cure. What resin do you recommend?

Beautiful ❤️Can you tell me how many times you roll through the clay in the pasta machine?
@RavenTheElder
2 жыл бұрын
Not the creator, but a fellow sculptor. There’s no set number of times the clay goes through the machine. You’ll have to fold repeatedly and check often to make sure there’s no splotches as you combine colors. It isn’t necessarily a short process and every clay brand performs a bit differently
Hi. how long u let the paint dry completely ? i put my acrylic paint and cant even roll my clay because its so sticky. i wait it more than 3hours but still sticky. any tips maybe ? thanks before
This is so amazing, never would I have thought that you could make this! I was wondering if you could make a video using this technique but to make a kwagatama? (the yin and yang symbol) I'd like to make a necklace inspired by the kwagatama necklace in Miraculous ladybug and since finding a stone with that specific shape is hard, I'd opt for making a faux stone. I've been trying to find tutorials for it but it seems that no one has yet :,( (At least that it looks realistic)
Do you let the paint dry before adding the flakes or after you squeeze together into a log?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany

Yes we let the paint dry completely before adding any gold leaf:)
Very nice! What kind of UV lamp do you recommend? Didn’t see it in your description.

@@TheCloverPatchClayCompany ok thank you! I obviously missed it.
1:10 - you use bake and bond -> I believe I was told to use liquid sculpey it at this point in the process. Is there a reason you use that as opposed to liquid sculpey
Just curious as to why you used the bake and bond instead of the liquid polymer clay?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany
Жыл бұрын
You can use either and both work great! I find that the translucent liquid clay bottles leak (the sculpey ones, im not sure why this is but literally EVERY bottle leaks when its knocked on its side) so for that reason I tend to buy bake and bond. But definitely both work :)
Is the earing become hard after bake and finishing the work?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany

Yes they firm up when you bake them:)
Its translucent clay you used?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany

yes:)
how long does it take for the paint to dry? I tried this once and it did not go well ! LOL i think i added too much paint... and i added bake and bond in with the paint. oh well. nothing teaches better than fails!
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maddie! The paint took a few hours to dry, any more than that and yes a bit too much may have been added. You definitely want to let your paint dry and then add the bake and bond, since bake and bond will only really set once its put in the oven and will otherwise keep everything tacky if the paint isnt dry yet. It took us a few tries to figure that out so we have definitely have had our own fails too lol! Thank you so much for watching:)
Hi mam u bake in oven
I have an issue where whenever I buy the Sculpey Premo translucent (I buy the smaller size since I'm still new to making earrings and am not ready to spend that kind of money) it's so crumbly and hard that I really struggle to condition it. Is this how most people find the texture of it?
@modlinefertil

I've been having the same issue with Sculpey Premo translucent. Whenever I pass it through the pasta machine it just crumbles and I had throw the whole thing away. I also have the smaller size I wonder if it's just the smaller size that does this because the big one in this video runs so smoothly through the pasta machine.

I just bought my first pack of translucent today (2oz) and ot was totally crumbly! Kept trying different conditioning methods, but no luck. Was happy I bought an extra pack, but I think I will invest in the bigger brick.

How do you achieve a matte finish?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany
Жыл бұрын
If you put a little bit of acetone on a cotton swab and gently rub the piece it will give a nice clean matte finish :). Sometimes I use cernit matte varnish if im worried about paint or colors bleeding with the acetone!

@@TheCloverPatchClayCompany Thank you!!
Could you just use the red clay without using the translucent clay?
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany
2 жыл бұрын
You could but it would give a different effect if you didn't use translucent, it would still be pretty though! The translucent clay gives it depth once it bakes and really enhances the stone effect, especially when held up to the light.

When I add paint to the cut up clay, it always seems to get sooo ...tacky, sticky...making it hard to cut shapes out of the clay. Can someone help me please?!
@TheCloverPatchClayCompany
Жыл бұрын
Only use a little bit of paint. A little goes a LONG way. And let it sit until the paint dries completely before you smush it all back together into the cane. You might have to wait 30 mins or so. Even if it takes longer always wait until it dries before pressing the cane back together :)
I love all your videos but it would be better if the background music was not so loud. It is hard to follow your voice over the music. :-)
