Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this tutorial I'll be showing you how to make a polymer clay silkscreen veneer using alcohol inks, Swellegant and Helen Breil's Pills and Coffee silkscreen.
I'll also show you a second veneer using different colors and patterns to give you some ideas of what you may be able to come up with yourself using this fun and very versatile polymer clay technique.

A beautiful tutorial, thank you for sharing. Just a quick note - I'm a paper crafter primarily but Im just thinking about trying clay as I have a good amount of interchangeable products - but when papercrafting, I watched a lot of Tim Holtz tutorials and he says blending solution should not be sprayed - he says there are binding ingredients in the solution that shouldn't be airborne, just in case anyone wants to use blending solution instead but hadn't seen that tutorial of his ....

Thanks, Jessama Tutorials for another informative tutorial. I had been wondering about how Swellegant is different from acrylic paint and I'm still really not sure of the difference. You achieved beautiful results and provided lots of inspiration.

The Swellegant has a lot of texture to it and creates some really lovely effects when it has had some patina on it. It's hard to pick up on the camera the difference.

I love your tutorials Samantha, you explain everything so well and have terrific video recording. I just want to ask, do you seal the silk screen pattern when finished or does it hold up well to wearing?

Very cool! Curious as to why you put the patina back in the bottle vs. keeping it in the spray bottle? Perhaps because it needs to be more airtight? Thanks again for a moist excellent tutorial!

I put it back in the bottle just to reduce the number of bottles I have around.

Hi Samantha. I watched this video when it first came out but did not have any Swellegant so I just filed it away in my brain. Now I have order some and have been watching other videos as well as this one again. My question is - Christie says Swellegant is to be used on baked clay only. She mentioned that the process could peal off. Have you had any problems with this happening since you did this technique on raw clay? The pendant that you made, have you worn it a lot to see if anything happens? Just wondering because I LOVE what you did here!!!

I haven't worn the pendant, but when I finished it I did scratch it a bit to see if the Swellegant wouldn't come off. It didn't peel off and I also put a layer of wax over the top to give it some extra strength.
