Polymer Clay Howlite Technique 3 Ways - Which is Best? | Make With Me!
Watch me fail and succeed at the howlite/faux stone polymer clay technique! I attempt three different methods used to achieve this look and find the one I like most!
Everyone has their own preferences, but this is personally what worked for me. I encourage you to try these out yourself to find which one you like the most!
This is not a tutorial, but a Make With Me style video! If you would like to learn more about this technique, these are the resources I used when learning it:

No fails. These are learning opportunities. You did great. I love that dark blue color.
I really appreciate you showing your mistakes. It helps us to learn so much more. They came out beautifully!!
I have been watching clay vids, and when I saw the second attempt, I was like, oh, she needed a veneer.. which is exactly what you did on the third attempt!
I was also going to suggest a veneer. Another helpful hint with either the liquid clay or paint. After you get it all together in a cube, use a wipe to clean off the outside. Even after you put the veneer together, use a clean wipe or spray alcohol on the wipe to clean off the top of it. Try a small area first to see if it works for you and you like the result. All three were beautiful. ❤️
Beautiful and great tutorial...
3:25 was epic satisfying right there. I hope you tried that lovely color combination again. I'm sorry it didn't work out at first. Very good video.
Thank you!
The blue earrings is beautiful.

Thank you so much!! 😊
You do an excellent job expressing what you are doing and thinking. Nice work on the earrings. I am excited to see where you go with your channel. Best wishes.
Love the last.. well done 😻
Beautiful, beautiful, congratulations
how amazing!
These are really pretty and I love that you showed processes that didn't quite work out. I wanted to asked though if there was a reason why you don't condition the lay you use for these canes? I know Sculpey comes out of the packet quite soft and nice to work with but it can still crack if unconditioned. Do you find your pieces cracking after baking?
i dont know why but my dark polymer clay such as red mehnroon royal blue or another clay dont get this kind of beautifull marble effect and i use arcylic paint for marble effect i dont know why🥺🥺cna some one help me.plz
It’s not a “cane.” Call it what it is-a log! A cane is a completely different process and look.
