Polymer Clay Cane: Blacks, Whites, Zebra Stripes Tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this two part tutorial I'll be showing you how to make three different zebra stripe polymer clay designs and then using them along with faux elephant skin to make an African Savanna polymer clay pendant and necklace.
The zebra stripe techniques range from silk screening, through Mokume Gane to caning, so this is a cool project for everyone, from beginner to the more advanced.

How you built the cane was inspired but honestly, I liked the look of the final method best. So nice to have alternatives.

You could add other colors instead of just black or even change the white to a different color for a twist. Great tutorial!

I think your creativity is neverending. Good for us! I love combinations with black and white and I like most the version with your stamp. It looks very realistic. The cane looks also very good but I think it is too difficult for me to do.

The mokume gane one is also one of my favorites as you can get the fur pattern. I like to use this technique with other animal prints.

How do you make a round ball with an animal pattern? E.g. a Christmas ball? 😃

You'd create the cane, take slices and apply those slices to the ball and roll smooth.
