Wow! A beautiful piece of art. You’re making it look easy. Curing with a heat gun is new info. Thanks for this great lesson.

These turn out very pretty. I was pretty sure you were going to have melted plastic dripping from your fingers each time you touched your work after the heat gun. Then I realized it was probably made out of silicone. None the less, I'm glad you didn't get hurt. The earrings are stunning. The technique seems very doable.😊❤

Love you tutorials. I would love to see you trying out crackle paint instead of heat gun. Thank you.

Thank you, Samantha, it was an interesting experiment! One thing we learned is that a Sutton slice removes easily when the clay is partially cured. And the double-sided result is very pretty!

Beautiful! I agree to stick with an experiment and with mistakes, they can surprise you as maybe better or just a different way to do things.

Very nice, if you want to shorten it, you can also use a crackle paint on top, then stain it with a stain and wipe it out…to show the crackle more.

Beautiful outcome. I love how you’re confident that you can make it work even though if didn’t go the way you wanted. It’s such an important lesson; it’s art, never give up. Thank you for the reminder. I needed that 💗🤗

Is it necessary to use the heat gun, can you get the same effect without it?

The top layer, yes. The crackled layer, no.
