@@HeadsetAdvisor as a truck driver the industry standard has been the blue parrot, but they are large and go over your head. I switched to the 5200 about 4 years back and got a new one every year (as they got pretty beat up). The low rumble of the truck engine and the road noise in cabin as well as the engine noise when outside the cab was never an issue for the 5200. As of about 2 years ago however, the 5200 (as a product) completely lost its functionality in my line of work. I bought 6 new ones and all of them performed the same out of the box. Callers on the other end complain of your voice fading in and out as well as garbled speech while on a call and driving down the road. I wish when poly was formed they didn't change the "magic recipe" - but it seems they have. Some of the noises the 5200 used to filter out were - A running semi truck engine while standing outside in front of the truck, Multiple trucks driving past you in a busy port while outside a truck, Road noise from a semi truck while in the cabin and engine noise while inside the cabin. Now, trying to find a headset has been a challenge. I went backwards to the Plantronics Legend and it has done the noise canceling job flawlessly. Though this headset is nearing its end of life and i'm looking to either replace it with another legend (though i see the reviews online parrot the issues with the newer 5200) or try something else. Any recommendations? You probably don't have a semi truck so you may not understand the issues with the 5200 that i'm referring to. If you ever want to expand your headset reviews to professional drivers, let me know and we can collaborate.

Poly Voyager 5200 is the obvious winner. Been using it for over 4 years. The downside is you can expect a performance expectancy max of up to 2 years before getting a new one.

I have used the 5200 for about 2 years now for teaching English convo online. It works really well and is starting to fail, I’m assuming some damage from my 3 yo playing with it. I have classes at indoor play rooms on the weekends and have had kids nearby having a full blown tantrum (not mine) and my student couldn’t hear it at all, we were both shocked. I’m not buying it again mainly because my ears are *tiny.* Even without wearing my glasses, I have to readjust often. It has only fallen off a couple of times when cleaning and talking to my sister over Messenger. If you don’t have tiny ears, this is a very comfortable headset. I tend to have mine at full volume for classes so the tiny buttons aren’t an issue. IMO, the mic test for the BH71 didn’t seem to block as much background noise as the 5200 which is a bummer for me because that would be a nice option for my tiny ears

5200 works incredible... while it works. I've had 2 of them and it's simply perfect, nobody believes I'm conferencing in the plant shopfloor, it filters everything, but this magic only lasts 1 year, after that the mics work very bad. It's a shame how a remarkable product becomes a trash so easily 😢
