Rachel you never know what influence you will have on someone, but I just need to tell you how you have helped me through a difficult situation in my life. I am in the middle of chemotherapy and radiation therapy and there are days that I just have no appetite. I love watching you cook ….you are so charming and your dishes look so delicious, it whets my appetite so I can eat a little bit! When I get back on my feet, I’m going to try some of your recipes and get a hair cut just like yours! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Rachel-I have loved to cook all of my life. For the past two years, I have been gravely ill & very nearly died. But God spared my life. During my recovery I found you. You inspire me SO MUCH to continue getting well enough to cook again! Just like you have your Ron, I have my Mike. I am determined to recover & cook & make our home nice again! Thank you so much…love & hugs from Nebraska!
I prepared this recipe for a friend, oh, quite a while ago. Even though I messed up a little bit it still turned out delicious and we both devoured our servings. I am now planning to prepare a double batch to share some with family members. I am so excited. I think it will be a hit, especially the 2nd time around. I hope it turns out as well or better than my first attempt. I view you as the person who introduced me to the recipe. It seems like there are hundreds of people posting Coca-Cola recipes but I view you as the person who introduced me to it. I like that you remove the skin at the beginning. Nice tip. Thank-you Rachael.😅❤🎉
LOL, I always get a kick out of Rachel’s measurements. “Just 1/2 a tablespoon” as she gives the bottle a dozen shakes 🤣😂 I love ya Rachel.
I made this last night, Rachel! My family loved it! I asked what they thought the sauce was, and they said bbq sauce. I trusted the process, and it was 60 minutes, but I made double the chicken, so doubled the sauce, but the darker it got, the thicker it got. You were right, thank you!

Hi Rachael! Love your recipes! They are so inspirational! I really love to cook and watching you, I can really expand my repertoire of good food! Thank you so much! ♥️♥️
Everytime I make the cocacolachicken I receive compliments. It's a winning dish. I've seen several variations but I like Rachel's the most since she introduced it to me long before anyone else. Thank you Rachel. Evie.
I made the recipe and it was delicious! I think the problem for those that said that the sauce didn't thicken up was that it takes longer to thicken up if you're not using a Dutch oven like she does. Her dutch oven is made of cast iron which retains heat very well. If you're using a regular pot (like me) it won't retain its heat as well and it'll take longer for the sauce to thicken up (closer to 1 hour). I used a cast iron like Rachel used in the video, so my chicken seared in about the same amount of time as hers. If you're not using a cast iron/carbon steel pan then it might also take longer for your chicken to sear. If that happens just follow Rachel's advice and wait for it to naturally unstick before flipping. If you take these things into consideration, then it will turn out delicious just like everyone says!

I've seen a. Lot of coca cola but I like your way the best probably because you are the one that introduced me to this recipe. Thank you.😅
Oh my gosh. Made this last night with the Mexican white rice, my husband exclaimed”that’s a keeper!” Thank you so much.
Rachel you are a true treasure. Passing on cooking skills in an informative and precise manner, Thank You.
Made this dish tonight. It took my sauce about 1 hour to cook down and thicken. My family loved it. I added extra garlic. Rachel, I have so much fun trying your recipes. Thank you!
You should have your own show on the Food Network. I just love everything you cook and how you present it. This looks fabulous!

This meal is on my list. Hubby retired from Coca Cola on Dec.15, 2020 after 43 years. Going to surprise him with this amazing looking dish.
I just made this. It was very quick to put together. You are one of the few You Tube cooks whose recipes I can count on being correct. It was delicious.
Peel and then freeze the ginger. It last and easier to grate.

to 1tinac, if you scrub your ginger root clean, there's no need to peel it before grating it. I also freeze ginger to keep fresh.
Thats looks amazing!#!
You are the best cook I have ever seen! I love your show and you are so clean, and clear, and sweet! Just delightful, thank-you!
Who would have thought that a soft drink could help produce such a delicious recipe. The next time I prepare chicken, I am going to prepare coca cola chicken. I love to eat garlic and I love the smell of ginger. It sounds like a winning combination to me. Thank you for sharing this idea with us. I like the way you repeat a recipe for several days. I like to watch the product being made. Who was it that said "a picture is worth a thousand words." It helps me remember the process and I like to listen to you. You have a nice voice along with a nice smile which tells me I can do this!

Coca Cola is also a great marinade when slow roasting a pork butt. Along with other spices, etc., as well.
Delicious exactly as is. I served with udon noodles and carrots, garnished with sliced green onions for crunch and color. Love you, Rachel!
This recipe is sooo yummy.Big thank you from Germany.

Que delicia! I've never seen this recipe and definitely am going to try this as I especially love that ginger is added to this. Another winning dish amiga. Don't know if you read my comments after you replied to me after your last video. I made your gorditas de azucar and oh my goodness, they came out delicious! This is the perfect recipe for them and again thank you so much for posting that video. Looks like I'm going to go buy some fresh chicken and guess what dinner will be this evening? Pollo a la Coca-Cola. Sending you heaps of love, joy, peace and laughter for you and your Ron for a super duper blessed week ahead.

You are one of the best cooks I have ever seen. I don’t think I have ever said that to anyone in my life, except for my Grandmother. This recipe looks wonderful and makes this vegan (not by choice) weep! I cook for others so I like to gather good recipes to do so. This will be one as well as the brined chicken recipe. Thank you for the recipes Rachel. Your husband is a very lucky man!

@@sandy-mr5gj she was referring to herself "this vegan"....not saying the chicken recipe was vegan. And she wants the recipe to cook for others who are not vegan. People are always jumping to conclusions and attacking others based on their incorrect assumptions...maybe you could take a breath or two and think before you attack??????

@@sandy-mr5gj Oh yes! My husband and I are vegans, because I had to be. I imagine it would be wonderful with Seitan. I haven’t tried it yet, but I certainly am going to. I miss the refried beans with bacon fat and lard. There was nothing like them, and there never will be. There is just no making vegan refried beans good, when you have had the other. Do you know the saying, “Once they’ve seen Paris (Parie) it’s hard to get them back down on the farm!” Well, that’s me with the real refried beans. I grew up on them cooked that way. Mom and her best friend learned to cook Mexican food from her friend’s cook. Thank goodness. That’s why I love your channel so much, and appreciate you. My daughter-in-law does not cook. She hates it. She is part Hispanic and should be learning her roots. But…this generation is different. My son is a great cook, so it really doesn’t matter.
I am on diet pills 💊 and enjoy seeing you make the wonderful recipes and wish I could eat delicious food like yours XOXO
Another wonderful dish to try! 👍
My grandkids and myself love to see your videos. Then we look at each other and say we are hungry! LOL! I would love to know your recipe for MENUDO please. LOTS OF LOVE

Hi doll Thank you so very much for another great chicken recipe 😋
I told my daughter to watch your videos so she'll learn to cook. Thanks again..
This dish looks delicious 😋
I would love to make this. I am a Type ll diabetic and am wondering if it will work with Coke Zero. That is the only thing I would need to change and I could serve it with cauliflower rice. Has anyone tried this? It looks wonderful!
This looks delicious! I’m going to give this a try.
I’ve already wrote down the recipe and I’m going to try this on the weekend. My grandkids are coming over and they both LOVE chicken this will be up all are allies! Do you have a cookbook? I’d buy it right away if these recipes are in it. 😊

Very delicious and easy recipe. The longer the chicken cooked in the sauce, the deeper the flavor. I liked the explanation you gave about searing the chicken (on each side) for a few minutes to keep it from sticking. I’ve been cooking for many years and I’m still learning. Thank you for your channel.
It looks amazing!

Looking forward to trying this. You make it look so easy. Ty.
Rachel! I've made this before using my "Gueatemalan" concuña's recipe. It was good. Recently, I had made yours and yours takes the flavor to a new level! Well, today I wanted to make it again but had no coca cola... my family knows that I change recipes all the time. I had a Mexican Jarritos sabor mandarina (tangerine soda) and it was so delicious! And I agree and love your Mexican White Rice recipe. No need for Chinese take-out! ! Gracias, Rachel! ❤

I add a tbs of the adobo liquid from the chipotle instead of the pepper flakes. Gives it a Smokey taste plus a little heat. Either way it’s yummy 😋
