this was actually an operation from the European Response Emergency Center, involving lithuanians, germans, danish, polish (firefighters alone were almost 400, helicopters, vehicles etc) etc. we Europeans are now even sending firefighters to south america etc and EU has also now managed to increase the number of firefighting airplanes

divisive proposals from Poland in EU stop operations like this, because they re against European cooperation like the one that created the European Emergency Center responsible for this operation activated by request of the swedish government

It doesn't matter, this is a convoy, mo matther what kind of a convoy military, or other the assistance of police is crucial to keep the convoy running smoothly and not breaking apart, or getting split by a passover cars, not mentioning the police cuting traffic on crossroads etc when the whole convoy is allowed to cross them at once.
