Police took my bike too, but out of a parking lot while I was inside. I reported the bike stolen and was called by a detective that informed me that the bike is a part of a police investigation. I asked “investigating for what?” I was told they are not allowed to give out any information about an ongoing case. This was 3 years ago, and I still haven’t gotten the bike back.

@jls.mp4 in most cases hopefully yes. But they still have different interests. People are best served by being helped and given advice, states are best served by taking fines and in some cases prisoners.

The guy who keeps trying to put his chain on is a good example of why you should do check ups on your bike daily before riding just tension and tires is necessary to check so stuff like that dosent happen

Ye, i always check chain tension and lubrication, tires and oil level and have never had a break down during a ride. Ppl really gotta just be neglecting their bikes, so sad to see.

I'm 73, and I started riding motorcycles at 14. In all of those years, I have yet to ever be pulled over by LEOs for anything. Yes, I had two accidents, neither were my fault. First accident, an elderly lady told the cop she thought she only had to yield to motorcycles with little red lights on them. The second accident was a deer running into me. Put your safety first, let cars pass you if they are following too closely. Allow extra room between you and the vehicle you are following, and never ride dead-center on a road because that is where oil and rocks collect. Before taking a back road, I always asked LEOs if the road is safe for a motorcycle at night. The one time I didn't ask, a deer took me out. Lastly, it is better to arrive late, than to not arrive at all.

A few times a year for me. Rarely any tickets. Because they have nothing, other than their hurt egos. Motorcycle cops and similar traffic "violation" cops that mostly deals with ordinary tax paying citizens, that can be taxed extra, for frivolous reasons, with no risk to themselves for the oppression. They dare not stop the drug lords. There are "good" cops, as in they do not spend time with irrelevant bs like stopping middleaged men riding their bike to work. But also, judging by sky rocketing crime, they aren't spending much energy on anything - hence "good" cops.

Yeah, that's the reason I quit riding the shoulder and stuck to lane splitting. Three punctures in two years. Plugged successfully, but it is a bit of a gamble if the cord is damaged.

Seeing how crazy a LOT of these cops act there is no wonder why they are hated, and even the supposed “good one’s” are not doing anything to stop the bad one’s which pretty much makes them no different.. The level of entitlement is striking (regardless of how reckless they may have been riding), compared to what you usually find in other countries. So I guess the cops in the US are more tired of the crap than cops in other countries. 😊

He saw the cops coming and made an effort to get on his bike on purpose and try to run. he's lucky no one was hurt.

Quite a few cool cops in these videos.

30yr on a motorcycle and i can only recall 1 time i was actually ticketed after pulling over. All the other times i got a speech and let go after providing license, ins, and registration. A lot of it probably had to do that i never once implied you're only pulling me over because of the color of my skin.
