David Cassidy was one cool dude, his huge fame was his downfall, he was a star that burned extremely brightly for a short time. He always wanted to be a serious actor, and he had the talent to do it! P.S: I love the cars of this era, an American era long gone!

60s cars thru 72 were the best era of cars. I got to grow up with them. 67-72 GM, Except for Impala, I l9ved 58 thru 72. The 64-65 Rivera is a top fav, but all thru 75. Ford from 63-72, Dodge 67-72. With a few exceptions. I started working on cars in 74, at 10. Painted my first at 12. A 50 5-window Chevy truck. If I had computers and internet, would I have spent my time outside? But Pop kept me busy with the yard, firewood splitting n stacking. Parents won't let boys use Axes, Chainsaws, or lawnmowers at 10 today.

Yeah. It's terrible how the entertainment business has such pathetically limited views of performers. He did not have to be forever associated with the Partridge family or being a teen idol. He only needed a couple of people to give him a chance. He had the goods, but you can't just act in your living room. You need influential people to believe in you. I think he ended up doing the very best he could with the theater work and music, but it's just maddening that he wasn't given a real chance to act on film they way he clearly could.

What an outstanding movie, I had never seen this before. David Cassidy was such a HUGE part of my life in the early 70s. What teenage girl didn't have posters of him from Tiger Beat and 16 Magazine all over her bedroom walls. For the last few months something about him started tugging at my heart strings. I began watching old Partridge Family reruns daily, reading many articles about his life and final days, watching biographies. It all became so heartbreaking, a lot of information I hadn't known before. Then I stumbled upon this movie and was totally captivated. What an amazing actor. Why he was never able to elevate from the Keith Partridge era in the eyes of Hollywood and the music industry is beyond me. So sad how it all ended for him. I can see him now up in Heaven tapping his feet, clapping his hands, singing "C'mon get happy!" RIP Sweet Angel, you were loved by so many. 🕊🌹🙏

Thank you for posting this since watching his A & E documentary last night I am just consumed watching everything I can of his. I am just so sad thinking that he ended up like his father without his family and basically broke and alone. David Cassidy covered my walls for many years. Nice quality. Great pilot and I liked "Man Undercover" a lot. A shame it lasted only ten episodes. Funny thing is, in his autobiography, David Cassidy doesn't mention this pilot or "Man Undercover" at all.

This was about as realistic as a Wonder Woman episode. Still, it has a certain nostalgic quality about it, so thanks for posting it. I always thought David Cassidy was a better actor than he got credit for.

@RadRich ok for y'all youngsters, 21 Jump Street was a popular TV cop show which starred the young Johnny Depp , this show was about teenage-looking police officers posing as high school kids and undercover to arrest drug dealers, robbers etc

@@SamanthaN92 it is very bizarre, but not only appearance but maturity level,as well. And I think that social environment may have a lot to do with the discrepancy between the generations. For instance, when I was about 8, in the early 1970's, our townhouse community of about 1000-2000residents had a brand new, top notch, half Olympic size swimming pool/athletic complex owned by our condo association(even though it was a working class community, blue collar, white collar, govt employees, single parents with kids, two parent families,etc)-- We had a swim team comprised of every children's age group category and an 18+ category, which basically consisted of 18-20 year olds and one 24 year old. The employees for the entire pool complex/athletic center, consisted of a female manager Jemy ,and asst managers Barb, who were in their very early 20's- but we're as mature, organized&competent as any successful, decades older, athletics program director or swim team manager for a college would be. The 5 lifeguards whos' ages ranged from 14-16 years old and they were hired from within our townhome community, and were volunteers, I believe. They ran daily swim practice, organized swim meets between neighboring housing community pool swim teams, and other condo association swim teams, every couple of weeks. They were serious competitions at the time,w trophies, ribbons awarded, high community attendence. Synchronized swimming performances, etc.Anyway, there's no way,I can even remotely imagine, a small group of under 23 year olds, or even under 35 year olds taken from todays' society, ,accomplishing that kind of feat.

There was a dress code in most schools in those days, which is why kids in those days looked older. We couldn't even wear shorts to school, unless it was a special day.

@@m_christine1070 Wow, how right you are, no kid in society today takes anything seriously about their future today, even when they spend thousands of dollars at a so called expensive college that ruins their credit to do it for life, and are ending up in mommy and daddy's basement because they can't get the dream job they were promised at making 500,000 a year. Back in the day we all had a drive to become better people than our parents, kids today want to punish their parents for giving them too much, what the Hell has happened to our youth... I think these kids looks are spot on, not like the fake botox filled/ plastic surgeon go too's of the kids today, they all look like high end prostitutes if you ask me......
