    @6:21 Robocop's handgun, the Auto 9, was based off a Beretta 93R pistol hence the 3-round burst function. It's also safe to assume that it uses 9mm rounds.

    Touched on Robocop's Use of Force in the movies. Funny thing here, actually. In the first movie, his adherence to current Use of Force policies was rather spot on (with one glaring exception in his two encounters with Clarence Boddicker). This was due largely to his Prime Directives, most importantly being to serve the Public Trust. His use of lethal force was limited to instances where he was faced with overwhelming firepower, or situations where deadly force was necessary to protect the innocent. In fact, very often, the Auto-9 is kept holstered until there is a credible threat or situation where deadly force would be necessary. In the second movie, this changed significantly when his Prime Directives got modified by a focus group that was much more concerned with optics than with common sense. Resulting in the comical moment where he fires a silhouette around a smoker. Which today, would basically have the officer walked off in handcuffs. I forget how many there were, but it was a ridiculously stupid number for a set of instructions considered as "Prime". In contrast, Rogue City generally keeps to the spirit of Use of Force that the first movie had. Obviously, there's... creative liberties, vis a vis copious amounts of nutshots, and use of ammunition capable of causing heads to explode. Literally. But there's many times that you know you're heading into a shooting situation, it's completely obvious that lead's about to be slung, but that Auto-9 stays in the holster until those first street toughs pull weapons.

    @Nomad4163 ай бұрын

    In-universe, the Auto 9's capacity was 50 rounds. But standard 15 round mags were used in the gun on set.

    When it's your word vs the cops' I like the idea of them having body cams to settle things instead of the judge automatically taking their word over everyone else.

    That's how it's supposed to work but several factors have reduced the effectiveness and reliability of those cams. You need to see videos about it.

    @@notsyzagts7967 In cases of a body cam malfunction, muting, or power loss it should be assumed that their word is no better than anyone else's, and additional evidence should be required to prove their claim but the judge and prosecutor, who all work for the same employer as the cops, will just say that they are professional observers and their report will also count as evidence even if there are false or omitted entries. It's not rare to see them violate people's civil rights escalating situations until someone does something illegal. The cameras cops wear and have mounted in their cruisers do more to protect people from them than the other way around. That's why they get upset when someone starts recording them. I remember a common thing they used to say back in the '90s' is "If you have nothing to hide what are you afraid of." Not saying that anymore are they?

    @@BigMobe the majority of us love body cams. Since there inception, complaints against police officers have fallen. There are now movements to try and take them away or limit our ability to record. Kind of funny you don't hear those stories. Bring on recording, I have no problem with it. The only problem with cameras being everywhere is 1984 will become a reality and then where will be as a society?

    @@ChrisTHECOP There are enough that don't even like people recording them with their cell phones, usually the ones that will lie under oath even after reviewing the footage. I can only recall one instance of a cop trying to stop another from violating someone's civil rights. Much respect for her. Until cops policing their own when they see another violating the supreme law (the US Constitution) is the norm, body cams and lawsuits are the next best thing.

    I somewhat agree. The simplistic gameplay loop (watch cinematic, traverse dialog tree, walk around, solve "puzzles" + collectibles, shoot bad guys, upgrade skills and weapons, repeat) is a bit tedious. The bugs and overall lack of technical polish painfully sticks out. But with the right mindset and playing in short bursts, I find it much more engaging than most current story-driven FPS. The gunplay is snappy, even with the bugs and design flaws. The story is decently good, surprisingly nuanced, and manages to avoid being overly preachy like other current-gen games.
