When I was 7 yrs old I was walking to the local store for my grandma, I was approached by an old man who said his sister was sick and he needed my help. He took my hand and began leading off the main road onto a side street; call it a sixth sense, call it God speaking to me; something in my head said: "Wait, he's an adult, you are a child, how can you help his sister?". So I let go of his hand and ran for dear life, ran like the wind, back to my grandma's apartment building. That has stayed with me all of my life.

On the way back a white van pulls up next to me the side door slides open and there's two white males shifting their weight back-and-forth beckoning me to come closer to the door. Our building faced the back of a junior high school, and my neighbor, who was a stay-at-home mom, was really observant about people and cars hanging around by the fence. From her second-story window she could see right into the front of his white van, where he was 'committing a lewd act'. The police found a few articles of boy-sized clothing, and some incriminating Polaroid photos in the glovebox.

You would think the person would be shocked and upset a little bit to be accused of something so awful. But yes we've also seen plenty of ppl that detectives didn't like how they were reacting to things or their behaviors and innocent ppl get sent to jail then found out by forensic proof they were actually innocent. Not what happened. For anyone to stupid to understand what happened: Crack lady started yelling some random nonsense. Little girl got scared. Dad came out heard the lady yelling nonsense and cracked the lady in the mouth. Knowing he was going to jail he called the police and pretended they were going to kidnap his daughter so that he could avoid the assault charge. In the end, everything will be dismissed before ever seeing a second of court. The police won't be able to prove an attempted kidnapping nor that he assaulted anyone. This happens 200 times a day in every city in the United States.

While she was out smoking meth. I was longhaul trucking. But my boys would tell everything. They were only 2 & 4. So I filed a police report & got me a emergency hearing. Her with 2 prior CDV's against me & 2 pending cases she hid from me. I got full custody and a 2yr restraining order. It was tough at times but we did ok. My boys are grown now.

Cop came up hard, hand on his gun, I started to get pissed because I knew I hadn't done anything wrong and figured I was about to get hassled for window tint again. Cop said something about a missing kid, I dropped my windows and popped my trunk, about 3 seconds later cop yelled out "sorry thanks" and pealed off after a car that was nearly identical to mine that just went by. I circled the block and by the time I came back around there were half a dozen squads a guy proned out who and a kid being taken out of the back seat. Eye-opening experience. After that, I gave a lot of leeway to LEO's and stopped making assumptions. .

I witnessed an attempted kidnapping while I was picking up my sister from school a few years back. It happened so fast and I thank god I was paying attention. I was a little early waiting for the school to be let out. I noticed that there was a suspicious black suburban that kept making loops around the school. I saw that the suburban suddenly stopped next to a little 7 or 8 year old boy walking by himself down the block. I pulled my car immediately out of the pick up zone to check on the situation. Once he saw I was right behind him watching him, he sped away real fast and took off. I asked the boy if he was okay and he said that man told him to "get in the car quickly and not to ask questions" Poor child looked so scared. I contacted the principal and authorities. Made some posts on fb groups to notify parents to watch out for that vehicle description. I have no idea if they ever caught that guy. I just remember being so panicked. And I thank god that little boy didn't get taken.

As the little boy ran past me I snagged his hoody and held him. The woman was begging me please let them go… they finally caught up and showed me their badges and said “ thank you”. Later as I was boarding a guy came up to me and said… “ wow that was brave!” Honestly it happened so fast I didn’t have time to think about being brave. When I got in my seat on the plane… I did break down and cry quietly. No one knew. I felt bad for them but the woman was kidnapping and it was just emotional. Didn’t hit me til I calmed down.
