Lumper fees were $140 years and years ago when I last had to pay. I do wonder what they charge now. On another note: There are good reasons for leasing with a large company instead of running your own authority. They are lower insurance premiums and nice discounts on fuel from the prices shown on the pump. But from what I've seen it can't outweigh the rates that Justin has been getting.

Hey Justin... thos gouges in the floor should be sanded a bit with a belt or palm sander then fill them with wood putty... the waterproof one that has wood shavings in it... will keep the floor from getting worse. Not a 100% permenant fix but will be better than leaving it alone and it getting worse.

The part where you are explaining the "U-Chain(?)". Can't believe what you have to go through. That's definitely a load of red tape. When putting your price in for loads, I'd state the price of delivery, and the price of this paperwork. In the future, you may need a lawyer to deal with this🤣🤣. Conyers and Lithonia in Georgia were like that .. I remember dirt roads there in 80's and farms..but in early 2000 it was packed up with new roads and neighborhoods all the time.

The reason we see the same side is that it takes 27 days for the moon to rotate on its axis and 27.332 days to orbit the earth. That is why we see the same side all of the time. Have good days!

But I keep an eye on houses in the area They have definitely went crazy in the last few years. Maybe once the kids are done with school my wife and I will re locate.

Justin, FYI the paint is the least of your worries if you encountered a cloud of love bugs. Radiator, long time residents put window screens in front of the radiator. Failure to do so can have the radiator so packed you overheat. Can be worse is not overheating leaving the acid bodied critters corrode the fin's of the radiator. They don't last long week or two but it sucks until the season is over. Flush it very well or not. AKA, Miami Boy.

I'll be heading up 75 from Orlando going right by Alachua around 5am heading to Jefferson Georgia

Moon rotates once per month... that's why only one side faces us... try it with an apple or ball..rotate it around a point... you have to spin it to keep one side facing in.

My best friend moved from California working for Tesla to Greenville working for BMW as a data engineer. He absolutely loves it, especially considering he's not taxed to death on his pay and the housing is affordable compared to CA. I think SC's newfound industry in cars with BMW and Volvo is driving the change plus what you get for your money.

Last friday diesel went up 30 cents at the terminal. The reason is it's harvest season and a whole bunch of farmers bought diesel for their season.

I remember going to this Dollar General warehouse been over 3 years ago

West coast is experiencing a exodus. My son finished in the Marines and said he had to reserve a moving truck way out.

Hopefully your food stop won’t leave you uncomfortable for a part of your trip. 😉some locations are easier than others. I used to love going to Savannah on vacation! It’d be a difficult drive in an 18 wheeler but I loved the drive coming from the south on US 17 into Savannah. You pass a huge globe of the earth then approach a shady wide tree lined boulevard with Spanish moss hanging in the trees. At some point you can make a turn to visit ft. Pulaski and head to tybee island lighthouse. Lots of great views along the route. They’re kind of hidden away but there’s several Carey Hilliard restaurants that are relaxing to enjoy some good food in. I need to get back down there someday soon. So many places I’ve visited that I want to get back to! Always nice to see the family Justin.

The construction they're doing out here in Savannah at the 95-16 intersection is going to be a half turbine interchange to replace the old cloverleaf layout. Savannah is becoming more busier and that layout isn't helping traffic anymore and I'll say first hand it is dangerous cause I get on it alot. So they are adding 2 flyover bridges to make the flow of traffic better and making I-16 3 lanes from Pooler parkway to I-516

The trials of having your own authority! I sat in a dock once for 8 hrs and they never started. So I pulled forward and closed the doors and blew past the gate with security chasing after me. I dropped the trailer in a local drop yard. Of course dispatch was pissed and I could give an F. Fire me!! Always 10 more company positions that have a sign on bonus that will be glad to have me 🤘

Hey Justin, the moon does rotate, but very slowly. Also, spray Pam on truck for the lovebugs. Learned that from my old cab over days. Then you can spray them right off the truck. The windshield just the good old washer fluid which works fair.

There's a company I deal with called Capstone ,you stay in the truck and they will send you a text on what you owe them, no checks, every thing is done over the phone!

With our Es advantage card we paying 3.92 to 4.20 plus get automatic platinum at loves even if you don't fuel.

Those roads are so peaceful compared to NJ NYC running.. loads pay really good up here but it's brutal running !!!!!

Can we get the cap with a longer bill on them? Say about 1-1.5 inches longer and perhaps a bit wider to better block the sun brightness.

I stop at that QT once or twice a week on the way to Prosperity to pick up lumber.

Hey Justin. Are you factoring certain loads through TruckSmarter? I see they’re adding alot of new brokers to their board recently, I’m similar to you, just a 1 truck and 1 dry van, own authority, never factored. Do you have any recent opinions on factoring with Truck Smarter? I’m considering it.

I went to a big Y in mass to unload 2 pallets and I thought I’d be out quick nope they take there slow time getting to you and they make you break down the pallets then take forever to get back to you to the point that you wish you paid for the lumper service.

Warehouses are full to the brim ,stores aren't moving stuff .that's why its the way it is There is a group or company out of Texas I believe that could get you a discount on your fuel . I saw them on a RV site as they were starting to give RVers their card can't remember their name but it could be worth your time to look for them . HMS or something like that .

Hi did you run A1A to i10 from 95 to Dollar General DC.? I would take that route saves about 7 miles I think.

It's called Gravity Locked and technically it does rotate but it takes a full day to happen or you would be able to see the back side in other parts of the world.

Lumper fees are simply insane. Just think about it: a company orders some stuf and then THEY demand to get paid for unloading the stuff THEY ordered. It's like you're having to pay the cashier at the supermarket a fee for scanning your groceries.

@@tjroelsma it’s not usually how it works. Most of the time the shipper is paying the store for shelf space. A lot of stores don’t own any of the inventory, it’s all on consignment. In other words, the manufacturer/shipper owns it until it sells. For that reason, the receiver doesn’t want the liability of handling it until it’s checked in on their books. Obviously, this is a very brief explanation and there’s more to it, but that’s the basic reason for lumpers.

@@chickenbuttdeluxe I agree. It's a good idea to ask ahead of time to be prepared. Nowadays most lumpers have the ability to handle payments electronically, but you still come across some that require the driver to supply an E-check and that's a hassle if you don't have any with you!

Average price for diesel in my state in Australia is $6.60 a US Gallon approx if i have done my math correctly $ 1.80 per lt X 3.78 = 1 US gallon
