Yes. People should not be allowed near the horses. In fact, in one of the episodes, I saw a man put his hand near the horse's nose, and the horse staggered back. It was only because the guard pulled the reins that he stood up again. Quite scary. The man was wearing a hood, so I couldn't see his face. Perhaps John who is filming the episodes could tell us what happened.

Like many tourists, they think because they are on holiday, they can do as they pleas. Here in Southsea, us locals have problems with tourists blocking the whole width of the promenade. Other mobility scooter users and myself go at normal walking speed, stopping at a blockage. We will say "excuse me please " and often get a mouthful of abuse culminating in "I'm on holiday bringing money to this place ". Fine mate's but I live here and have an appointment.

My late husband used to ride an 18+ hands horse. One day riding down a wooded slope, the horse slipped, and fell The horse fell straight onto him, and then rolled fully back over onto to him. After a bit of scuffling the horse unhurt managed to get to his feet. My husband gingerly got up, fully expecting some broken bones, but he was unharmed. He said he thought his time had come!!! Looking down he could see his complete outline pressed down into the leaf mould, just like a Snow Angel!

Hi John, On Monday 8 April, "Buckingham Palace will be guarded by French troops on Monday following King Charles' approval to honour 120 years of friendly relations between England and France. The event is a historical first, and will mark the anniversary of an agreement known as the Entente Cordiale, translated as 'cordial agreement'. The agreement was put in place in April 1904 in a bid to resolve long-standing disputes, creating a diplomatic understanding between the two countries." There have been rehearsals at BP and Wellington Barracks on KZread. Kind regards Sarah

Horse blowing and snorting is a natural behavior that occurs in horses. It is a way for horses to express emotion and communicate with one another. When a horse snorts or blows, it is usually a sign that it is feeling alert, excited, or stressed. The sound of a horse blowing or snorting is created by air being forced through the nostrils.

John spoke to them. They are a crew from Saudi national television are were really annoyed that, as a commercial enterprise, they need a licence to film in Horseguards. I'm sure they would need permission to film in any Saudi military installation too so what makes them think, as foreign nationals, they can freely film in any other countries military establishments?

@@msfrred1st He even admitted in the conversation with John that he knew he was supposed to get permission but if he went through the processes they'd only be able to film once a year (in other words, he was exaggerating the time delays involved with the paperwork and he thought they'd just circumvent the rules that apply to official press/media). I'm hoping the MOD police report that back to the authorities so that any request from that press organisation may be "delayed" further. ;-)

Severe lack of common sense and respect to their surrounding. In their country party officials are allowed to be as abusive as they can be to the people, which is reflected on the commoners who can be abusive to each other (without excepting King's Guards) as dictated by sheer instinct and impulse, exactly as exhibited here. To put it simply they are fools.

Hi John, you've captured some beautiful moments - thanks for sharing again The foaming can be the horse self soothing/calming; many horses produce "happy foam" in the mouth as a sign of ease and contentment. If the horse showed excessive foam/sweat around the shoulders or chest in addition to the mouth, I would definitely stop and give it a once over, or try a few calming techniques. ❤

Horses tend to blow like that when they are wary, not sure or nervous, the foaming at the mouth, denotes that the horse has a what is called a 'soft mouth' and plays with the bit consistently. Some horses can get their tongue over the bit, when this happens one has much less, if any control of that horse.

The Asian people are another group that is very disrespectful. They grab the reins more and I've noticed they want to touch the guards more. I don't like how they run up to the horse and take a picture, then run away. Come running up to the horse could scare the horse and you get bit. They're really overdramatic with the way they act. Ex riding instructer/horse trainer here. One yard I worked at, they brought me out the resident bad boy they wanted me to work on. He was 17.3 hands. I’m 5 feet 2. Took me a stepladder to get on as their mounting block wasn’t big enough. Enoch was the horse’s name, he was jet black and built like a tank. 3 years old and barely backed. I had to draw on every bit of strength and skill I’d acquired over the years to persuade him who was boss.
