After Lynx 2023 I was quite hyped and really looking forward to Lynx Brutality 2024.
As the Months went by however the momories of the experience started to fade a bit, and I also got a lot of distraction because of my heavy involvement in IPSC shooting.
As Lynx 2024 approchead, things weren't looking too good, because me and Stefan were struggling to get a second ticket, I was a little sick the weeks before Lynx and my physical preperation suffered, my left ankle was hurt a little bit and financially I was pushing shooting competitions to the edge this year to prepare for PCC World Championships 2025.
Briefly before Lynx 2024 I was a bit frustrated and was ready to cancel Lynx 2024...
Stefan was already on holidays, spending some time with his family as he got a call from a friend, letting him know Stefan should f*ck off because he actually won the very last ticket for Lynx 2024 from UF Pro...
Well... the rest is history... Stefan called me, we were immediatelly hyped again, remebered the crazy experience of Lynx 2023, packed our gear, zeroed our rifles, grabbed some water bottles and headed to Slovenia, vibing to Synthwave on the road and having a great time.
Arrived at the Lynx Training Center, we recognized quite a bunch of familiar faces and made ourself ready for this years experience. This year we had the honor to shoot in the sponsored squad, which not only ment that there were quite some high level guys in our squad, but we were also the one squad in the afternoon shift that was non stop live streamed by a very professional camera team!
So everybody at home and in the vendors area, where they had a big livescreen, could watch us.
So we better not f*ck up this time...
But in the end, we barely noticed all the cameras fpollowing us. We were either in the zone or just having fun or cheering for others. Stages were tough sometimes but very creative and enjoyable.
Performance wise I felt I left a bit laying on the table and scored more penalties than I was comfortable with, but still managed to pull of a very close 4th place and Stefan even won Armored this year!
Besides enjoying the tournament part we were also having a great time between stages and in the parking lot and vendors area after shooting was finished.
Atmosphere was great, the whole thing felt more like a festival than a shooting competition.
At this years raffle I even managed to win a gun, but also had some interesting conversations with other shooters and industry partners. So we'll see what this all will lead to...
After all, I was extremely happy and grateful that I have been part of this cool experience the second time in a row!
There's a lot that I'll take home from this event and I'm really looking forward to next year, hoping I'll become the chance to participate once again!
