Музыка

Hello all! Thanks for watching. I have to upload these one by one in order for my video to not be blocked. I will add them to a playlist in order to make it easier for you guys to find them.
"The Apparition" is next I promise! Somehow it slipped my awareness, but I very much look forward to consuming it.
WHAT A JOURNEY THIS WAS! An emotional roller coaster doesn't begin to explain it. God I love them so much. A band for all the feels.
Below you will find my LinkTree, where it has every platform that I'm on.

There is no second to this band. It doesn’t have to satisfy your taste but the aforementioned statement holds absolutely true. This is true, poetic, visceral music.

Something I have LOVED in this song is that throughout the album Vessel has mentioned "something" eating him alive or "something" having its teeth in him, so when he says "I'm about to bite back in anger" I take the final breakdown of the song as him "biting back."

  • @UkraineStar77

The sharpest teeth reference is basically this - he has such a desire for someone/something that he does not care about getting hurt. And "grow back" means that he has been hurt by this very someone or something before and is fully aware of it. Probably a reference to a toxic/abusive relationship, with "Eden" being the way it was at the beginning of that relationship.

This is my interpretation, too, and you put it into words better than I could have. Especially looking against other Sleep Token songs, it's clear Vessel has had some very unhealthy relationships in the past, and not being able to let go even after realizing it's just going to hurt him more and the original sweet love was not going to come back. Blood Sport (from the room below) is another angle to the same theme and goddamn that performance is a masterpiece. Or like Alkaline where he kind of warns other people of her, telling it's too late for him, and then proceeds to express how it all feels natural and proper once you're inside the trap.

It’s also a callback to another song. To either hypnosis “sink your teeth in me” or the offering “take a bite of me.” Or its a callback to high water “when the mouth of infinity, buries its teeth in me, ill smile through the agony for you.”

This song hits home and personally speaks to me. It's funny cause my ex's name is eden, and shit got super toxic between us, and I let her back in every time knowing she's gonna fuck me over again LMAO

I thought it was more profound as a reference to going back to our primitive self’s and getting away from technology (Take me back to Eden) hence the Apple in the right hand of the angel of death in the video

  • @UkraineStar77
    @UkraineStar77 Жыл бұрын

The figure is basically the angel of death. It's also holding an apple in its left hand, alluding to the Adam and Eve story and obviously Eden.

This album is concluding the trilogy. “Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire” is similar to many things he has written but probably closest linked to the song “The Offering”.

People may have different interpretation like it's obvious... but Sharpest Teeth can be related to "Give me your Scythe you know i want to die..." He's been seductive to death, his desire of dying for the eternal peace to the ripper. The man knows how to get deep, you already know that.

So 3 choruses 3 styles. I wonder if they actually tried the whole chorus with harsh vocals just to see if it worked? Anyways this is probably the most beautiful song ive ever heard. It really covers all the bases with me. But what is separating this band apart from everyone else is the song writing. The lyrics. I have childhood PTSD and this song dug deep into my dark heart and pulled out some monsters. And that very last verse? The screaming? lol Killed those monsters. This song is surgical. This song is medicinal. If im stoned an listen to it? Done.

I think the sharpest teeth line has to do with a relationship that lost all of it's luster, it's boring AF, and he's basically saying "grow back those sharp teeth when we couldn't keep our hands off each other and you knew what I was into when we were in lust". Take me back to Eden is basically saying take me back to the beginning of the relationship when everything was new and perfect because we lost our way.

The actual fun fact though…: there’s a part just before the heavy heavy, where the background vocals callback to chokehold “when we were made it was no accident (you know my desire) we were tangled up like branches in a flood”. Surprised you didnt catch that but okay.

You know what's funny about this reaction video, is recently I've seen a bunch of reaction videos of people who range from mid to really good-looking to like straight up masking themselves completely, and almost every single one of them I was annoyed that they made the music video super tiny and filled the whole screen with their faces the entire time. Then I come onto a sex... appeal worker's reaction vid where people getting bxnxrs looking at her is part of her job description on her CV, and she makes herself tiny in the corner of the screen and instead lets the Angel of Dxxth fill up the screen. I bet attention is annoying when bxnxrs just randomly point towards you like the needles on compasses point North. Or, you just have greater reverence for the art and subject matter which you would like to share with your audience rather than using it as a platform for attention (since I guess you already have one), unlike those other reaction videographers.
