Going to buy one tomorrow for 1200, runs but needs new cv axles. Hoping it’s not that bad

Also make sure there's no shims behind old pinion before pressing new bearing on new gear

There wasn’t any shims. The new pinion and bearing went together well. Seem to mesh fine with the existing ring gear. There is a little bit of a whirling sound that comes from the rear diff at certain speed, but not concerning.

Do you have an idea of how much disassembly is required to replace a broken coupling between engine and rear end? I'm trying to decide if this is a job I want to take on. Being buried in the swing arm, I'm afraid it'll be a bear to get to. Thanks, great video explaining the work req'd to get your rear end issues resolved.

Hey thanks for sharing! I’m contemplating getting keyways milled into my splined shafts. They are ok now but just ok. Would you care to offer your opinion?

It might work. I have a spare new pinion gear and bearing if you would be interested in buying them.

I see this is 11 months ago. Have you done anything since?

I just bought a very lightly used muffler off ebay to replace mine that has holes where the exhaust pipe goes into the muffler. Haven’t put it on yet. I have quite a bit more video from all the work 11 months ago I never posted. Has our license plates in it and never got around to editing out.

Did u change the angle drive fluid in hubs?

Yes, used automatic transmission fluid. Oil fluid wasn’t particularly dirty. They don’t take much.
