    One of the best machines for the $ in my opinion. I have the 2023 450 H.O and I love it. Great machine for both work and recreation riding. It has plenty of power to handle anything you throw at it. I'm a larger rider (6'2 235lbs) and it handles my weight with ease. Super comfortable ride too. Polaris also switched the battery location on the 2023's. Now they are located right in the center in the front storage compartment so it's easy to access.

    Thanks for that review. I would up getting my sporty yesterday! It’s amazing how comfortable it is. Looking forward to getting it through the break in period

    Nice! The machine has a comfortable ride for sure! Once the heat shield was installed on the right side to keep that crazy heat down. I noticed a difference when I had the first service. The machine had an even smoother ride.

    Very happy for you! This is the same ATV I'm looking at. I'm also looking into a pull behind mower. My only concern is overheating while going slow pulling a mower. I've got about 13 acres to mow. Another thing you may want to consider is a drag harrow. They have them at tractor supply. I use one with my neighbor's ATV to maintain my driveway and to help prep food plots. Enjoy your ATV!

    So far I am very pleased with this machine! 13 acres is a lot of mowing! I think I have less than 1 acre with all the roads and grass spots. There has been no issue with overheating but I have not pulled anything yet. Some of those mowers are good at 7mph. Not sure that is fast enough to get the air circulation going. I had not seen a drag harrow before. With my neighbor I have all the road equipment one could ask for. haha

    That's got to be a good feeling to bring that home after the long wait. I'm hoping to do the same in the next month or so. Narrowed down to three models. Polaris price point is awesome. Congrats and enjoy

    Yes it sure is! Now I need some better weather to ride in. I like the polaris. The price was right for me. I know there are a lot of people with opinions on each brand but this model is going to do what I need it to do.

    Congratulations brother. They are nice machines. I have the 2012 Sportsman 550 Touring model. A suggestion, when you do get a winch, if it has a cable, replace it with a synthetic winch rope. When plowing, the cable tends to break often and the synthetic one is much better. You will love it.

  • @LandtoHouse

    @LandtoHouse

    6 жыл бұрын

    The guy at the dealership was saying something about the synthetic rope. I had not ever heard anything about them. I will have to look into that. Might be next fall before I can afford one of those. But it is in the works.

    Nice machine. I used to have the 850. Try to use just the key to shut her down. That kill switch has a I guess you could say brittle copper piece inside that tends to break. But great machine all around. Enjoy

    +Mr. Wizard for a somewhat temporary storage location I have ordered a 12 by 12 shed in a box. Most people get a year-and-a-half out of the tarp but I think because it will be in the shade half the day I will get longer than that.

    Should be able to change the gauge stuff while running. Just use park or neutral. Unless they changed it from two years ago.

    I just sold my 2014 Sportsman 570 because I wasn't using it enough. Planning on buying a new one next year when I will be needing one again. Can't decide on the 570 or the 450. I'll watch a few reviews to make my decision. How do you like the 450 power?

  • @LandtoHouse

    @LandtoHouse

    6 жыл бұрын

    +J Bouchard to be honest I don't know any different. The 450 is my first machine to own. The last machine I rode was a 350 2 wheel drive from the 80's. So I think it is amazing. I have not yet pulled a trailer or pushed the snow plow but I have a feeling for my needs it will be sufficient.

    Polaris has a optional recall to get a heat shield installed on the right side of the motor near the exhaust. I'd suggest anyone who has a sportsman 450-570 to get it done. Helps block the heat tremendously, I scratched my leg while riding and the heat melted my glove. So word of warning to riders.

    Oh wow thank you for that info. I will have to ask the dealership when I go in for the first service. I have noticed that the right side of the ATV is very hot. I would like to have the heat shield if it would help with that.
