One of my relatives(my gran gran uncle) did some "questionable" things during the war. He was an officer of WP, and in 1939 he lost his wife and two daughters to bombs. My grandma and nobody else in my family ever talked about him, for them he died that day when found out. In the next 5 years he was directly involved in killings of a few dozen german civilians, including children, SS officers and simple Wehrmacht grunts. Never showed a hint of remorse or guilt, not even concern about repercussions on polish civilians. We praise our heroes, those who fought a brave fight and died honorable death, but there's a pound of mad fuckin blood in our nation.

It states that if a member nation is attacked, all other countries in NATO will take, “such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.” It can include all countries declaring war on the aggressor. But that doesn’t mean it automatically does.

Remember when a Russian submarine (that was stationed just a few kilometers away from the US's mainland) almost launched a missile that was fortunately stopped by a Russian senior officer? Diplomacy alone is never enough, at least not without a background activity or two being conducted in secret.

A lag of communication and massive stubborness is the cause for trouble, which both sides are currently living out to its best.. i've read that article 5 is designed to be flexible. Apparently it's not something everybody has to take a part in it either. So it's meh. Nice to have i suppose. Why the hell is poland in nato? How does that even make sense. I don't see any significant relarionship at all. I think norway makes more sense to be in NATO or sweden (if they're not already in it.) Poland feels rogue to me for some reason.
