I mean, Sam and Max do have a time machine... I like to think they visited 2020 at some point and brought up our current event as a "obscure reference". Feels like something Sam would do. (Or the game just pick random stock pile items from a hat and put it in his dialog but that isn't as fun.)

Anyone else feel their referencing the Mars Attack cards that were released in 1962?

I loved this convo because it was trading card related. Now, hearing the whole story... I love it even more.

I actually got into collecting a type of alien invasion cards. they're called mars attack and they are made by the guys who made the alien invasion cards.

Which versions? The original 1962 run? Reprints of the ‘62 run. The 1994 run mars attacks archives? Mars attacks heritage? Mars attacks the revenge? Mars attacks occupation?

You know something they are talking about the movie mars attacks it had those same.cards but they were going to be banned since the cards were too graphic even for mature audiences since they couldny get permission to say it they just called it alien invasion cards
