I restarted heartgold earlier this year and was jokingly resetting starters (not really trying for a shiny) and got a brown cyndaquil in 8 resets! Best feeling to get that luck :)

nice vid man, also doing shiny pokemon only run, got a totodile at 20resets, then hunted for a nidoran and got a shiny male after 12k, now hunting sudowoodo at 4.2k and still hunting.

Those discord alert sounds just made me crazy, I spent 15 min searching through my channels where it was coming from lmao

Do a hardcore nuzlocke where only pokemon who are pure typed (Pokemon who have only one type, like Machamp being a pure Fighting type and Weezing being a pure Poison type) can be used.

Gen 2 was so brave being probably the only pokemon game where picking the grass starter is actually a disadvantage, oh and gen 6 and gen 5 but only because you are disadvantaged regardless of your starter

Well, I finally got my shiny Mudkip for my shiny only run in Alpha Sapphire! 😁 (and yes, your videos inspired me!!) 5 days (about 850 soft resets) Little did I realize what a mistake I’ve made imposing the unique rule of “Dexnav only shinies” considering how much I hate the Dexnav. So far I’m working for a shiny Zigagoon. *basically every new route, whatever random Pokémon the Dexnav chooses, that is what I need to hunt for my shiny... with a duplication clause... I’m pretty sure given my research, Dexnav is a flat 512 odds. 😅 I am so screwed... 😅

Maybe on your next shiny nuzlocke you should have a timer on so we can all see how long it took you to complete the game. Also a reset counter too for the static counters

I remember, when I first played with the grass starter, I had an Umbreon, a Crobat, a Dragonair, a Kingdra, and a Tyranitar. I defeated the game with them, and I faced against Red. My team was level 55, and it was STRESSFUL going against him. But I eventually won. I won against him and I couldn't help but scream in joy.

My first shiny was technically Shiny Gyarados, most people had this as their first shiny. My first full odds shiny was Lotad in Sapphire. My second Full odds Pokemon was a Zubat in Fire Red and shortly after that a Natu. Eventually on the Sevii Islands I found a Full odds Hoppip......but my young self did not bring pokeballs....so I failed a shiny for the first time. I never reclaimed it, until Pokemon Go had Hoppip community day 😂

My question is how do you reset this? For wild pokemon okay you just run, but what do you do for your starter pokemon? Do you just go out from the box or do you "reset" your game to the last save? And how do you hunt for Lugia? Did you reset it too? What do you use DeSmuMe?

Yeah save before picking a starter poke. None are shiny, then hit the home button on the ds and restart the game. Same for the legendaries in static positions, like lugia, ho-oh and kanto birds.
