temp's strategies aren't really that innovative or good in higher level gameplay; the ones that work in higher levels are very basic strategies in competitive. Most of these strategies only work because they're used against low ladder players who don't know what a Zoroark is, and even then temp needs to fish for a somewhat decent matchup. This channel is the equivalent of a DIII basketball player dunking on some 5th graders while weaving in some trick shots lol. I will say he does make it pretty entertaining

@@Saren_5 100%, yes. Cheese strats like what Temp spams here are really only good up to a certain rating, ~1400 or so. Above that, people actually know what they're doing and run stuff like hazards, taunt, even perish song, etc. to stop the cheese, and every team becomes basically full legendaries again, because at the end of the day, legendaries are complained about because they're fundamentally good pokemon. Of course, two 1700s using full legendaries is like playing a completely different game than two 1200s doing it.

Whenever I see videos like this, I'm reminded of the difference between strategy and tactics. One of the players is clearly playing chess, planning out patterns well ahead of time, making strategic sacrifices to establish better advantages down the line... There are even worse things than spamming legends in gen 9 tho, there are such things in Natdex AG known as, revive cats, where the players basically infinitely revive their Pokémon which is literally devil strats, and electric Tera air balloon shedinja, which basically forces you to use a necrozma dusk/dawn/ultra or anything that bypasses abilities

You’re a magician, man. Every time I look at your teams, I see a new hat trick. Part of the fun I have now is guessing what your strategy will be, or trying to figure out how you’ll impossibly bounce out of a corner. It also reminds me of the heady days I’d spend with friends and family trying to figure out how to use “garbage” Pokemon like Slaking, something I never would have considered before a Pachirisu took the World Championship by storm. I wish these guys could see the sheer amount of fun this kind of thinking offers. That in order to win, you have to know the game and look at the hidden possibilities within the Pokemon themselves, not a tier list that really only serves as a popularity roster disguised as a ban list. I hope you find more wholesome folks on the Showdowns, man, and record them having a good time. We’ve only got so many potatoes to sap away all that salt you’ve earned for yourself.

@@maxwellerobini1603 i mean frequent losses aren't exactly good viewing content unless the match itself is intense. and i would assume of a lot of his meme strats understandably don't work a decent portion of the time since they rely a bit on favorable setups or luck. its not like he tries to portray himself as an invincible tryhard, just trying to be entertaining.

I don't even know whats happening half the time but this is entertaining as hell

So that dude at the start, weren't they aware that most of the strats used are actual competitive stuff? I don't play competitive but even I have an idea of how some of t6t's stuff works or what they were inspired from. The thing that t6t does is giving these strats a twist.

This is what actually makes Temp dangerous- most strats aren't super original, but temp finds really odd Pokemon to run them on and is willing to convolute and sacrifice builds to get there (e.g. kyogre killer charizard) The rogue builds put a certain kind of tryhard completely off balance and can even make good players stumble and blow key predictions
