Oh really cool man I really appreciate that insight, it’s just my dining room table I got from an estate sale I guess about a decade ago now. It’s really scratched up and it was that way when I got it so by no means is it intentional! I’m glad to hear that it looks cool. I really want to get different surfaces I can swap out. I think a system with these colors needs a brighter background for the contrast. It would make it more visually appealing but also I think it would help the camera because sometimes I think it struggles to focus with that many dark objects in the screen. As for the JoyCon, I had to! I had to make sure I wasn’t tripping out. I even did it again last night before bed just because I was trying to think maybe it was just me but it’s not. The finish is weird! I actually edited out quite a bit of my rant about it lol. It really caught me off guard I mean it was immediately showing off moisture from my hands. Thanks for stopping by! Nice vid! But if you look closely the back of the joycons are designed to "complete" the image on the back of the switch, that's what the "orange and orange" stuff is for, completely stuff "cut off" on the switch. I think it's really cool haha, but yeah that's why that stuff isn't on the front.

The scarlet and violet Nintendo switch is really nice and it’s something I would’ve picked up if I didn’t already own the splatoon one. I still think the Splatoon oled is the best switch as with the joycons, console and dock but the main switch for this limited edition has to be tied or better then the splatoon 3 console

I asked for this model for Christmas! I have the 2017 model of the switch, and although I love it, and have customized it, I just really love the design! My switch model I have currently is just the red and blue basic one, however I have a pastel case over it and a case that sort of matches. I've been considering getting another switch to make a new ACNH island without having to restart, so when I saw this I was like :o. I'm a huge fan of Pokemon and I love the color scheme, what makes it even cooler is one of my best friends also asked for this model for Christmas and her favorite color is Orange while mine is Purple so it's perfect! I've been wanting to get an upgrade from the original model since both the stand and the TV box have broken and I've either had to fix them or replace them. I've had drifting, but it's been very mild and I only had to replace the left side once. I believe they're still available at Gamestop here so I can't wait to get it! 😊

Really helpful video!! I was wondering if you could give some more of your opinion on the joycons? I currently own a regular switch from when it first came out and have been considering getting this as for an OLED upgrade. However, if the joycons feel really weird then it might just be worth it for me to wait for the release of a Zelda edition (if they do that).

Well I’m really picky about the JoyCon, but I have watched a lot of other reviews on here and most people don’t even mention it. I think the couple people that did mention it, they barely did it all they said was it just feels like a slightly different texture. So maybe don’t take it too seriously, but I actually edited out a lot of my rant so it didn’t seem so negative because I was actually really not liking those LOL. But maybe I was just frustrated because I was kind of overwhelmed recording this and there was sweat on the controllers. And I don’t even think I was hot. So I was thinking it was because of the texture. And really I think it possibly was. Unless it was just coincidence. I even mentioned that I think it will pick up moisture and dust more easy than the other ones. But again I edited that part out because I think that’s just getting a little nitpicky lol. I went back later and held them and they feel kind of cool! they really aren’t that different if you have cool dry hands. But some thing about these yeah I feel like maybe they will collect more moisture whenever your hands start to get hot. But I could be completely wrong. Overall I don’t really even like the design of the JoyCon that much but it’s kind of neat the Pokémon on the back. But I also don’t think it’s a reason to not get the system. You can use your old joy con or get new ones. But I know they aren’t super cheap. But maybe you could sell these because I bet somebody wants them. Usually joycon dont feel like this though so if you want to see if they make a Zelda system, by all means maybe wait and see! Although that might not be announced until like March or April if we even do get one.

I think youre totally right about the joycon design. White on the back and swapping the graphics would look better!

Geeb!! Yeah I can’t complain though. The texture for me is why the joy con are a no go. I edited out a lot of my rant hahaha. And the finger sweat… I saw another reviewer had sweat on his too. They’re gonna collect moisture. And dust. And anything they can because of that unfinished texture. But at the end of the day it’s not THAT big of a deal. Like I said, this results in a very matte and NATURAL look. It’s pretty neat I’ll give em that. I’ll do a comparison Short on the JoyCon.

@@switchunboxing I agree, I still have my ACNH switch and I’m never getting rid of it… I have the regular (white) OLED and I was first in line for the Pokémon edition on launch day!!! The dock is what drew me in immediately but I must say, the splatoon 3 joy con are a lot more esthetically pleasing to say the least. I think Nintendo was a bit lazy with the joy con but the grafitti and the dock make this special edition worth it. I have Zelda joy con on my ACNH switch and my ACNH joy con on my Pokémon OLED 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ and of course if there is a tears of the kingdom OLED I will be first in line for that one as well

Nice unboxing! So which console is your favorite? And do you use a number of your switch consoles? I got the Zelda OLED a few days ago, but I already have the S/V one 😅. I keep going back and forth on if I should sell or return one, they both have aspects I like. Would love to keep both, but there’s not much use in that… I also have a v1 switch lol 😭

I know!!! I wish they could combine em. I love the gradient JoyCon of the Splatoon one. And the glossy black back. Wish the TotK was glossy on the back. And it had me thinking we might see a gradient on the TotK JoyCon but nope. I like the graffiti style art on the Pokémon switch. I haven’t decided either. I’m actually still using my ACNH v2 Switch haha with TotK JoyCon. I haven’t even moved into OLED yet. I need to but it’s just a process to transfer your stuff and I might start over fresh with screenshots but then all my current ones will be locked up on the computer so it’s kinda sad. But I need to go OLED already I’m just not sure which one really. I might need to just go Splatoon because of that texture even though I haven’t played Splatoon in forever. I want to rank the switches in a video but eh I don’t have time. Maybe one day.

@@switchunboxing Forsure, the splatoon joycons are really cool, so are the back details. The TOTK back is nice and subtle, but it’s kinda lacking. Making some of the circles shiny/gold for contrast would’ve made it a slam dunk. Dock is definitely the star. The art on the Pokémon one is a little over the top but sick! Also love the dock, gloss looks great. Ah I just started using my OLED for S/V without transferring the account due to not wanting to move AC data. You could just attach the same account to the OLED and move save data when you want to play a game or use cloud saves.

@@switchunboxing Nice that you have a fave! The splatoon one def has the most detail out of all. Do you keep the other consoles for display or resell/trade them? I’m considering just leaving TOTK sealed as a collectible (keeps it pristine too) even though it’s sad. I had to get it though since Zelda consoles don’t come out every year. And I’ve already opened and used Scarlet Violet so I think I’ll just continue on that one.

Thank you I set my iPhone on a tripod and hit record! I’ve got 2 lights I use to light up the shot. By no means it’s it anything super professional. Main light on the corner of the room is a huge ring light a photographer left over here, and then I have a regular living room lamp next to me. It’s hard for me to keep the objects in focus so I spend a lot of time tapping the screen to get things focused. And I do many many takes trying to shoot objects and then choose the best one when I edit. Sometimes I only get a perfect shot for a couple frames - so that’s usually when you will see still shots because I go through finding the best frames. Could also mean my hand was too shaky. So yes all I do is hit record but I record a lot of footage and do a lot of editing. Still I got the video made in a single day. Just didn’t sleep though..

Reason why I’m looking into a dedicated camera is because the aperture on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is set to 1.5 and can’t be changed. I think this is why it’s so hard to get everything in focus which results in recording way too much footage. Also I think a dedicated camera would have better autofocus so I don’t have to keep tapping on the product. The current process can be a bit frustrating for me.

@@switchunboxing Man, I hate the SAME damn problems! Invested in a 512 GB iPhone 12 Pro because I figured I would be able to shoot videos and edit all in one while also upgrading my earlier POS phone. But I keep having to tap to focus, and thought the footage would always look horrible despite being "clear" video quality. Also you’re right you can’t really change the settings at all unless you purchase Filmic Pro app but it’s a damn subscription which I will never commit to. I ended up buying a Sony ZV1 and the autofocus is perfect for stuff like this! Great little camera.

@@omegamanGXE Yes well the f stop is a physical attribute of the lens and can’t be changed with an app. I figure you came here from a comment on a ZVE1 video. I’m looking into that one but was going to get a7iv and yes it all started because someone suggested zve10 and my ambitions just kept going up and up. @neiltendo is a good channel that’s been doing awesome things with the iPhone 12 Pro. Idk how he does it but there’s a camera for everyone it seems!

All variants are beautiful! But I think white's still the best after all. It's more like a gaming console than the special editions. But this is just my opinion.

That would be in the fall at the earliest. But likely won’t be until 2024 or 2025. You could always just sell it if you don’t need it. Might lose out on $100 but it would be worth it plus I know when OLED came out Gamestop had some really good trade in offers so that might happen again. I say just live your life. Cant waste all our time just waiting around.

It’s looks really good and perfect the whay they are . The white combination don’t Mach. You didn’t see in the back of the dock the red of the poke balI , I think you like more the splatton version. 🙂🙂. This Pokémon version for me is great in fact I preorder and I’m waiting for next week , hopefully I will enjoy.🙂. Thank you for your review and combinations 🙂

@@switchunboxing Ngl, it’s the best looking one. I like the matte black w/ the gloss accents haha. I don’t use em all as I try to keep ‘em in new condition. Only used the DS for black and black 2, the Y for Y, Switch Lite for Sword and the Oled Scarlet. Usually they just go back in the boxes once I beat the game. Gonna keep using the Oled for now, however lol. LMK if you needa use any for that vid. I’d like it back, though haha
