@@anon7641 I welcome it. But good hope & intentions alone, will not be the solutions to problems. Fools do that (we did that till now, on Kashmir issue and even now none has confidence in handling this issue, but only hope). Or in Indian way, put all our "bharosa" on either Modi or Jaishankar, just as the country did in reposing confidence in Nehru, then. In so far as India is concerned - PoK can wait. Most Indians (say 90%) don't know that PoK & Gilgit-Baltistan are two different issues. The only link between them is that both are occupied by Pakistan (& claimed by India). What India needs Gilgit-Baltistan strategically. For deliverance from Pakistan the people there look to India. In PoK they know how to express, influence& even force an Indian decision. People in PoK aren't dependable, but in G-B, loyalty is assured there. Only PRC doesn't want us to take over G-B and think that India'll be satisfied with PoK, thus leaving G0B to them. These are all the intertwined issues that need a lot of planning & thinking. Once G-B is with us, PoK is a cake-walk. Mu priority is G-B & PoK is secondary. Nut if you have a workable plan, with no unforeseen mishaps - tell me, please. I may add) too, once we take them over - just as was done (thanks to Gen. JFR Jacob ) in Bangladesh case, the turn of outcomes, shall give no hand for Pakistan to meddle in these areas in future - once in India. If I dry my wet clothes on a barbed wire for drying, I should exercise care in retrieving my clothes, without them being torn - freeing the clothes from each & every barb.

India would have become one of the best places in the world to live today, if on Partition Day 15 August 1947, Nehru and Gandhi had extended an invitation to all Hindus living in Pakistan to come and live in India, and called on all Muslims living in India to migrate to their newly created homeland and their future - Pakistan. That was the very intent of the Partition, namely, all Muslims of the subcontinent would live in Pakistan and all Hindus in India.

Country based on religion never works out, reason is people can convert at any time. If a muslim man feels hindu god or religion is better influence in his life he will choose hinduism , same way a hindu person can convert to islam or other religion and pray that God. Its a personal choice. A country shouldnot be build on something that is so baseless or easy to break. A country is basically a community that help each other . I pay tax to protect you and me same way you pay tax to save our community. Hating someone for their religion which maynot be even a choice for that person is not right. Love everyone.

Pok must explain and prove their loyalty to the ancient heritage of Bharat... Do they acknowledge that Kashmir has an ancient heritage way before birth of islam?? Demography change needs to be checked... Also indian taxpayers money and blood should not be spilled again... India must be cautious and check their loyalty towards the great civilization of Bharat...

@shivaji856 Just "imbecility" of the highest order. But then, why don't they be questioned frontally & asked to correct? Basic education stands on three legs - Arithmetic, Read & write. There are plenty who scored "duck" in Mathematics, becoming journalists. No standards are maintained across the length & breadth of Journalism.

Merging PoK with India is righteous & justice but will the happiness for us be short-lived? Having radicals groomed over 8 decades is a major threat and may cost dangerously otherwise in the long run.

We need POK without peacefuls

PoK folks want a better life. Thats all. If at all any of them want to "cross over", it is only for that. Once the bellies are full ... Then the nuisance value will become apparent. There is no love lost. Let them stew in the their own creation, Pakistan.

The Late PM Nehruji of India ensured that he didn’t have to prove his incompetence and naive decisions.He had proven numerous times by his foolish blunders several times. No wonder, then newly “independent” India was bequeathed with the notorious Legacy of innumerable unresolved national and international problems by stupidity and egotistical Indian political leadership of Pre and Post “Independence “ era.

We don't want the headache.

It’s a general rule of thumb that most Islamic societies have a 50 year period of extreme religiosity , a retreat to fundamentals of Islam and the next 50 years of revolting against the Mullahs.The natural process of people seeking freedom and rationality instead of an oppressive regime of the fundamentalists. As an Indian I would rather give up the land than import this craziness into my country.

I don't think they will be directly merged with Jammu and Kashmir. It's dangerous! As they lived in an extremist environment for 75 yrs. It's gonna be tough.. Let's wait and watch 🤞🏻

India Administered Kashmir is far more developed than Pakistan Occupied Kashmir; Indian side of Kashmir has national universities, better HDI, better economy than POK. On the other hand the Punjabi army have changed the complete demography of POK by replacing Kashmiris with Punjabi Muslims, the Punjabi Army also systematically conducted genocides of Kashmiri Shia Muslim from POK for e.g. 1988 Gilgit massacre, etc. and under the Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq military dictatorship, the incidents are numerous.
