I love how if you transcribed Drawfee, without actually _hearing_ them, Julia talks like she’s an advanced AI trying to learn what comedy is and failing really badly in a hilariously entertaining way. I have no clue how her mind works or where she comes up with stuff, but it’s always just a few steps away from the obvious and a few inches into the realm of the absurd and always requires a few extra steps to explain. Like an A.I. trying to learn what comedy is… like when those A.I. see a cat in a cardboard box and is like “furry dwarf driving ugly car” and you’re like ‘Wtf?! Who taught this AI this?! Why the hell would something EVER be a furry dwarf driving a tiny box shaped car next to a sofa?! It makes no goddamn sense?!’ and yet it’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen. That’s Julia. She looks at a cat in a box and sees a dwarf driving an ugly car. She looks at a reptile Pokémon with fins and sees a toaster. She looks at a shape and sees a room full of vampires. Julia looks into the abyss and sees it staring back and translates what she sees into beautiful horrible jokes and art for us. Thank you Julia. We truly love and appreciate you, horrible jokes and horrifying art and all.

My defense for Swampert is this: Mudkip is on all fours, and then Marshtomp stands up. You would expect Swampert to be bipedal as well, but no, its on all fours. It gave up on trying something new, and that's relatable as hell.

This bit killed me just as hard as the pizza, salad, sandwich bit from the stream

The Togedamaru bit had me crying laughing in a way I haven’t in a long time, holy crap. I was in physical pain in the best way. I needed that laugh, thank you Julia and the rest of you for playing off the bit for so long!

It amazes me that Karina kept drawing so wonderfully while the “Edge of Tomorrow” nonsense was happening. I would not have been able to see from cry laughing and been unable to be productive in ANY way

This episode has rocked me to my core. I guess I don't interact with enough other Pokémon fans because I was completely blindsided to learn that my adoration of Swampert is not universal. My entire worldview is still recalibrating. Anyway, thank you, Drawfee, for reminding me of the time I was goalie and my own teammate was trying to kick the ball away from our goal but he kicked it so wrong that it hit me hard in the face and bounced off my skull into our own goal.

I think they should all do a drawing together some time. Nathan does the composition, Korina does the sketch, Jacob does the line art, and Julia does the colouring.

I have a few names for the variants. Bulbasaur-Clobbersore Incineroar- Feelatline Swampert- Spectwyrm Also, Swampert is adorable. I can't change your mind, but my Kipper is adorable.

Love the concept of holding weapons in boxing gloves. Like loading a rifle with blanks and then attaching a bayonet to it and hurling it like a javelin

The Pokemon duking it out in Venusaur's fighting ring are just the ones not currently in your party - that's why it's called "boxing" your Pokemon.

Some of your Pokemon get experience, but they mostly have to get healed after fainting in the ring. It make Nuzloke's a nightmare.

14:28 just time-stamping this for myself for when I inevitably come back to rewatch this section a million times.

Karina's weird little "huh-HUH!" giggle after saying she looks cute while fighting all the time might be the single most unsettling thing I've ever heard

Dark and fighting type could be considered opposites! Dark type is already in many cases heavily referencing a heel, as in wrestling. Which is why a lot of dark type moves are dirty wrestling moves (ie: bite, sucker punch, throat chop). While fighting type is like an honorable hero, who uses acceptable fighting techniques. (which is also why incineroar is a dark type)

Julia: *pretending not to know things* Everyone else: No actually I support everything you're saying.

If you ever want to do this again, you should just randomize the Pokémon and types so you have complete utter chaos.

Hehe, yeah, That's be fun. Though I'd hope they'd forget to block accidentally correct matches. I could totally imagine one of them going "I got... Pikachu and... Electric. What do I do?" and then just running with it.

Every Pokémon is someone's favorite, and I think that's beautiful and a sign of amazing character design.

A lot of Pokémon that I wasn't initially fond of I ended up liking a lot more once I saw them in motion like in the anime and stuff and in other side games. Swampert is one of those, specifically something about his Pokémon Pinball icon made me start liking him. I just think he is a nice little axolotl boy and mine is named Chips.

I know they were doing starters but I think it would have been incredibly on brand if they had taken ponyta and made it normal type. Just draw a horse.

I haven't laughed until I cried in a long time and I want to personally thank drawfee for the gift of that edge of tomorrow bit. It destroyed me in the best way.

I love that Karina made a fairy type Zeroara mixed with Inceneroar. Great work by everyone.

Suggestion: Draw “Random Word Generator” Witches. Ended up getting ones like ‘Virus’ Witch, ‘Medal’ Witch, ‘Detective’ Witch, ‘Laundry’ Witch, ‘Guitar’ Witch, and ‘Cheese’ Witch. Just sounds like a fun time. 😊

That Edge of Tomorrow bit is like ol’ Chris Columbus. Went looking for copper and ended up finding gold.

I'll be honest, I get their distress wrt Swampert, as I've felt it for some other Pokemon-- Including you, Incineroar buddy -_- Took me a long time to get used to you, esp after seeing the Drawfee version (not to mention looking like *another* Fire-Fighting type) --probably about one a generation on average. But when I first saw Swampert, all I could think was "Big Lizard-Puppy! Yeeesss" Also, R&S always felt like it was trying to be more of a "cool mon" rather than "cute mon" game, so it fit in with the "awkward cool" energy I felt.

I keep forgetting Tired Julia's in this episode, but then she suddenly drops in another Father Gagah-ism like Palpapal Bulbaboom or Tomeducruise Emliblunt. I think Sleepy Julia is just the Swedish Chef trying to say Benedict Cumberbatch.

The whole Togedamaru section really just made my day a whole lot better.

Swampert’s best quality is that he doesn’t care if you like him. They have the contests, they have the moves, they have all they want. They don’t remember your criticism longer than while you’re there.

Hey Karina, there's a way easier method to hatching shinies. It really only works in sun and moon and the ultra sequels, but I'll try to break it down. 1.) Use the Matsuda method of shiny breeding. I used a Japanese ditto with a magikarp I caught in game. 2.) Save after you put them in the daycare then hatch those eggs until you get a shiny. Magikarp eggs hatch real fast, so it won't take as long. I got a shiny magikarp after like 60 eggs. 3.) Once you get a shiny, turn off your game without saving. Then turn it back on. 4.) You should now be back in the daycare. Remove magikarp and put in the pokemon of your choice. I used froakie. 5. Hatch those eggs. The number of eggs it took to get a shiny magikarp will be the same as the number it'll take to get the shiny of your choice. I got my shiny froakie in 60 eggs. The whole process took about 2ish hours.

Swampert's big thing is that he's only weak to grass types, because he's immune to electric type moves. He's 4x weak to it, but it makes him pretty powerful.

took me back to my ruby games as a kid, choosing mudkip because I love him and then going to the forest after the dad's gym to pick up my other favourite Pokemon shroomish and being utterly baffled as to how those shroomish were just destroying my axolotl son :/

I ran a mono-water team last year in Alpha Sapphire and picking Mudkip is def easy mode in the Hoenn games. There's no grass type gym or elite 4 member, so every matchup is at worst neutral for Marshtomp/Swampert. I'm trying mono-grass next which is about to be a lot harder 😬 🌿

Swampert is my favorite starter and third favorite Pokemon overall.

Suggestion: Draw weird dragons based on a hodgepodge of animals from a generator. They have to have at least two arms, two legs, a tail, and a set of wings. I want to see some medieval looking nonsense.

Ardvaark head, beaver tail, penguin wings, walrus flippers for front legs and kangaroo legs for the hind legs. That's the most ridiculous dragon combo I can think of

14:00 to 16:45 is pure gold and deserves an animation.

I love when they just keep adding wood to a horrible hilarious fire, them all laughing super hard, making the dumbest jokes ever is my favorite part of their videos
