The scene between Arven and Mabosstiff here hits me like a truck every time. We lost our dog two years ago, in his case because he was just getting... old. And the way Mabosstiff looks up to Arven at the end, just wanting to play again... yeah this game's story had no right to yank my heart out of my body like it did.

I feel. My family lost our dog very suddenly March of 2021, no idea what happened to him. Arven's story ripped my heart out and made me wish I could play with our boy one more time.

I also didn’t expect Grusha to be the strongest gym leader. I went into his battle with level 30 Pokémon and a dream. Immediately I knew I messed up

Roaring Moon is in the most random cavern inside of the great crater, it took me forever to find it But they spawn pretty rapidly there since Roaring Moon is the only Paradox Pokemon that can spawn in that cave (the cave has these symbols on the ground)

IMO, Paldea region Gym Leaders have two aces, a true ace and a Terastal ace. In the case of Grusha, his true ace is Cetitan.

Tip: go back to the school and complete all history classes, after that try to bond and become better friends with the history teacher, and she will tell you about the black stakes and the legendary ruin quadret. Onse you pick up 8 of one color stakes (orange, green, blue or purple) a mysterious cry comes out and you have to go to the ruin lokations that the History Teacher GIVES YOU if your good friends with her.

I'm 4x weak to dog stories, and even after seeing it in my own playthrough, seeing Arven's reaction to his Mabosstiff's recovery still got me all misty eyed! Also forgive me for the following, Mikey, but it was just too perfect. 53:24 "Ok, Ima fight the Caph Squad!" 1:01:09 "Damn, Eri got hands."

I think Geeta was implying Nemona's demeanor has improved and she's happier since she met the player. That's how I interpret it. I really enjoyed her. She's the only rival that gives you a real bestie vibe.

No clearly nobody understands the ace choice in this game Altaria is there because One of ice weaknesses is fighting Altaria is part flying so that's why Ghost gym has toxicity because it fits with the musical theme of that gym leader

Arven’s whole story is sad between everything with Mabosstiff which makes me tear up every time when he finally recovers and then the fact his parent is that neglectful makes it even sadder I don’t want to spoil too much of the endgame but it doesn’t get better

The Path of Legends is the cutest storyline in the game, also side note, Koraidon and Miraidon are so adorable! They’re big legendary dragons, they aren’t supposed to be cute, but omg they are! 🥰

Scarlet and Violet are probably my favorite Pokémon story at this point. It’s been years since I have been drawn into a Pokémon story like this.

Right before the cut scene, when Koraidon goes to Mabostiff's side...a few times before that & this moment you can tell even Koriadon wants Mabostiff to get better. ❤ Also Arven's mom wasn't dead til right before the game starts. The AI Sada says that the real Sada died protecting Koriadon when he lost the battle with the other Koriadon. Then our Koriadon fled Area Zero. So yes the real Prof. Sada was a horrible parent.

Not gonna lie when mabostiff’s pokeball fell just before mabostiff opened his eyes, I forgot that this was a childrens game and I really thought they offed the dog. I had tears in my eyes during the last leg of the titan story path until arven completely wiped the floor with my ass. “Isn’t good at Pokémon battles” my left foot

This game made me cry the hardest I’ve ever cried at this scene cause my dog died of old age 2 months ago and she was a black and grey dog like Mabostiff is. So it really messed me up emotionally, especially when the dog was so excited to play again. I said to hell this game and afterwards caught a Mabostiff of my own and named it after her. This game is… Extremely well written.

The Twist with arven having a bad mother and him caring for his little doggo was one which I never expected LOL !

For me I think this is a great game under everything, held back by bad company decisions and time restrictions.

In both games, the professor is said to be neglectful and we don't even hear anything about the other parent. Arven says he's only had Mabostiff, so that's gotta be an indicator that the parent that's never mentioned wasn't a good parent either, if they were even there for Arven at all.

@@imarandomgamer2 We do get to know what happened to the other parent. In the research stations, there are several journals written by the prof, one of which mentions the other parent walking out shortly after Arven was born.

@@haydenlaw1484 it was quite dark but if you actually look into a lot of dialogue and actually properly analysis some stuff from past generations the darkness isn’t a surprise the surprise is that this time they didn’t even hide it they straight up told us what happened instead of being sneaky with it hiding dark stuff in references and stuff that is hard to spot unless your looking for it and that only adults would understand

i thought arvens story is all because of his mum... she had an obsession left him then her obsession hurt his one true friend so sad and then her obsession got herself killed... its truly sad for arven to know he was left all alone because of one thing the one true friend he had in the end was mabosstiff

I think we can all agree that we all cried at Mabosstiff getting better.

This game should have a warning to all dog lovers in the very beginning. That story arc broke my heart. The quotes about just wanting to play with him one more time really hit haaaaaaaaaaaard. Such a good story

Harrington's assistant covered up the Operation Star incident. It's why Harrington, and his staff, all resigned. With the assistants cover up, it made the staff look inept.

Actually, the auction is not the only way to get Moomoo milk! Even though serebii doesn't have it listed, in the School Store you can buy Moomoo Milk as well as the vending machines drinks *in bulk*. You can get Fresh Water for 200, Soda Pop for 300, Lemonade for 400 and Moomoo Milk for 600.

I finished the game today and let me just say that the ending is literally chefs kiss. In my opinion they focus so much on the characters, the gym leaders, the teachers, and the great crater of Paldea that they legit forgot or just simply didn't care about the performance. If they had, and used a legends arceus kind of gameplay, this game would have been phenomenal. The storyline almost makes everything else forgivable. almost. I've never had a Pokemon game pull at my heart in every way like this one has.

I did the Titan's in a different order and it seems like they're hard coded to give you the power they do and aren't unlocked dependent on how many you've done. In theory you could've gotten Climbing at any time the only obstacle would be the level of your pokemon.

Arven falling to the ground hugging mabostiff makes me cry every goddamn time. And then it pans to you and koraidon/miraidon. Tears

For my starter, I'm choosing fuecoco. All of the other starters are cool, but fuecocos just happy to be here, and I think skeledirge is the coolest final evo out of the 3

I legit cried of happiness when Mabosstiff got better, it hits even harder when you have your own dog.

When you were confused about the Quaxly fighting the Cetitan at that level difference, I think was to demonstrate the fact that you can go anywhere at any point, but it won't be possible to beat that gym at that level

The bidding, As soon as Michael starts manly screaming, I burst out laughing 😂 2:10

The thing about Glaive Rush is that it's so strong you'll usually KO with it (especially with Baxcalibur's 145 base attack), so if you outspeed all of the opposing Pokémon then you'll just sweep. And unlike Outrage, you can switch or use a coverage move if they bring out a Pokémon who outspeeds or tanks Dragon moves, as well as having no confusion drawback. Baxcalibur is also reasonably bulky, so it can often tank even a double power hit.

My solution has just been to use Protect after Glaive Rush every time, if it doesn't end the battle, that is. It drags fights out a little, but otherwise it completely negates the move's drawback

Eri’s fight is refreshingly tough. It was the only fight in the entire main game that made me blackout on my first try, and I’m not even mad about it. My strat on the rematch was to open with Kilowattrel and immediately terastalise into a flying type, air slashing through her first 3 Pokémon. I then switched to Annihilape to take down Lucario, and then kept it in to get as much damage off Revavroom before fainting and switching back to Kilowattrel for one decisive air slash.

I love the False Dragon Titan so much 'Oh it's over' Tatsugiri: I say when it's over! I tend to use Glaive Rush like Hyper Beam/Giga Impact but with me swapping Baxcalibur out afterwards to negate the downside

Honestly glad you let the battle with Eri go the way it did. She earned it lol

Arven is the BEST character ever written in Pokémon, Nemona is the best Rival we've ever had and Team star is the best "Evil" team ever conceived in Pokémon. All combined in an incredibly captivating story. If the Pokémon company combined the amazing characters and story of Scarlet and Violet with the gameplay of Legends Arceus I think we could have the best Pokémon game ever. As long as they give it the proper time in development and don't rush it out the door in an unfinished state. Hopefully Gen 10 will give us such amazingness.

This moment with Arven and Mabosstiff hits me hard in my Playthrough, maybe I get more emotional because I have a 9 year old dog myself and I care about him a lot

The reason there arent stronger pokemon in the climb area is that you can cheese the titan fights even before any gym badges

I always have a laugh when he gets pissed off at an NPC in an auction XD

I imagine this playthrough is already all finished and recorded, and you probably already know this, but if not: You can teach pokemon Egg Moves by having them hold a Mirror Herb, and only knowing 3 moves, then taking them into a picnic with another pokemon that knows that move (doesn't need to be in the same egg group). So that's a way you could teach Toedscruel Leech Seed.

The entire Mabosriff plot line hit hard for me for two reasons. One, major dog lover here. Lost one to simply old age… so the implication of Arven having to watch the poor boy just lie there unable to do anything… hurt… Plus despite the fact that I rotated my Pokémon out constantly (so my exploring didn’t overlevel me) Mastiff/Mabosriff usually ended up sticking around the most. Usually I would fill my party with weaker Pokémon I got in the area or the one before, usually level up evolutions so I could fill the dex. So usually most of my party was weak except for one pokemon to do the fighting… and that ended up being the Goodest Boi. Even as a Mastiff he was *super good*. Hitting hard and taking everything that got tossed at em. Hell I ended the game and Ryuji the Mabostiff had higher friendship THEN MY STARTER

I literally cried about the Mabosstiff stuff just now. This'll hit me hard when I play Violet

Otegra gives me so many Bede vibes. From his bratty and arrogant behavior to specializing in Fairy-types (yeah I know Bede uses those later and mainly uses Psychic but the resemblance is still there lol)

I actually got an authentic Sinistea, and I found out that if you get close enough to one without encountering it, you can pan the camera up and see if it has the stamp on the bottom. I saw one and caught it and sure enough it's authentic, and I actually happened to find a chipped pot on the ground. I spent soooooo long in Sword catching way too many Sinistea to get the authentic one, but I never did get the chipped pot to evolve the one I finally caught so I'm very happy to have it already in this game. :D

24:41 the most happy sad scene in this game also, if I had a nickel for every time a blonde women was a bad parent, I'd have 2, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

I highkey believe that he acquired his entire team via sandwich. He hasn't done any of the gyms, but he managed to catch a level 40-something Scovillain and it listens to him without hesitation, so that guy must make a mean sandwich. Hey mikey, if you want to use a great tusk, you can catch the titan great tusk after completing the entire game. When you do it gets a ribbon and if you add it to him you get the mark "the former titan" just wanted to let you know. Love the vids
