I also think leaf guard isn’t too bad either. If he’s fighting a physical attacker, who doesn’t have fire moves, synthesis and sunny day let’s him set up with swords dance pretty easily

Flareon has been my favorite since growing up with gen 1, and it remains my favorite to this day. Always thought it was the coolest, and it still is imo. But you can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re all great, but Jolteon, Leafeon, Umbreon, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Espeon and Glaceon round off 2-8.

Yeah he’s certainly the best! I’ve had games like emerald Kaizo only my list for a while, just haven’t gotten around to them yet. I did recently play emerald rogue, and am currently playing through a pretty awesome HG/SS remake Rom hack.

Combine that with his hidden ability guts, and Flareon can deal some damage. His range of moves could be better though

For perhaps the first time yesterday, I had an umbreon battle who I felt was a real proper tank. Normally I use him and he can barely stall for a bit. But this one worked out pretty well

@@NuzlockeJoe it's really only good for special defense, but if you do grind up the hp and sp.d it will tank them amazingly

I'm biased, I love Flareon because it was the first Eeveelyution I used in FR/LG. But tbh I love all of them.

Mine are Espeon and umbreon, if I had to pick one I don't even know if I could. I remember playing a game cube at a McDonald's as a kid and playing the first five minutes of Pokémon colosseum, and thinking it was so cool to have eeveelutions as starters

I have been thinking about another eeveelution run, and kalos would be a great one to do actually.

I always liked Vaporeon, until I knew how to get Flareon in-game, I never knew were to get fire stones in games until I begin playing fire red XD

All the eevees love them

Originally Jolteon was my fave but that changed when umbreon came around. But all the eeveeloutions are good. I did S&M with an eeveeloution team

Yeah based on how this video is doing, it’s probably inevitable. I’m considering doing it in Kalos which is all about evolution.

My favorite was Vaporeon when I was little cause it looked like a mermaid, then it became Espeon because I realized how precious and strong it is. Then gen 6 came out and now I’ll love Sylveon until the end of time with Espeon right next to ‘em.

I used action replay codes. After each gym I would use a code to find an eevee

loved the video. but i think one cool way to handle such a themed nuzlocke would be to replace all gift pokemon with eevees including the starter. just a suggestion. also missed opportunity to not name every eevee after a famous biologist or other scientist in the field, like Mendel, Pasteur etc.

That could be interesting, off hand I’m not sure how many gift Pokémon there are in platinum, but I could be doable. For the names, I might take up that suggestion for the next one. This video is doing pretty well, so I want to take the same concept to a different generation.

@@NuzlockeJoe aside from the starter there are 4; the Togepi egg from Cynthia, Bebe's Eevee, a Porygon from a guy in Veilstone, and Rileys Riolu. for the other 2 Eevees maybe slide one for when you could get a fossil, and another when Cyrus gives you the masterball.

There you were fighting a Bronzong that was setting up on you...all the while you couldve saved time and ohko it with Flareon who has the only move that can deal Super Effective damage

So sad that the best eeveelution can’t be in this nuzlocke, Sylveon is the goat.

Flareon Umbreon or Glaceon. To bad two of them suck in game. Luckily Umbreons great. 1:33 I know this a gameplay conservation thing, but I always figured they were wandering around with you getting used to you, playing ect ect ect.

You should’ve grinded for coins at game corner for some busted tms, btw I always think back to Pokémon colosseum everytime I see an umbreon and espeon on the same team 👍🏽

I typically avoid grinding the super strong game corner tms until gym 6 or so. But since I could relatively easily afford one, I just got it

Espeon is my favorite and followed by Umbreon. I have a shiny version of them in a few generations (gen.2 Gen.4 (HG/SS) gen.6 (X and Y plus Leafeon and Glaceon) gen.8 (BDSP plus Leafeon and Glaceon) and now gen.9

I think they go well together. I mean espeon is a fast attacker, and umbreon is nice and bulky

Umbreon hold my heart as number 1 (my favourite Pokemon of all time...well tied with Absol really) though Espeon makes a close number 2 since it's single-handedly destroying everything in my Crystal run.

My OG favourite is Jolteon. And my favourite overall is Leafeon

Umbreon is my favorite Eeveelution (and Pokemon in general) 🌙 As someone who works at a public library, I too am against tax-paying patrons from using our facility and services 😉

In order of release its flareon, umbreon, and leafeon. As a whole it's still umbreon. Took me forever to realize as a kid that he was a stall machine instead of a traditional attacker lol. Kinda dampened my love until I realized how to properly utilize umbreon. Good times.

Yeah I get that. That’s probably why espeon is still my favorite: because he’s so fast and and a heavy hitter. Though I will say I did just finish a run with umbreon, and foul play was incredibly useful.

@NuzlockeJoe foul play was a saving grace for me using umbreon. As a kid playing crystal I didn't realize I was using my opponents atk Stat lol I was convinced it was umbreon. Gotta say all in all great video. Loved the commentary and the edits.
