I'd love a run where instead of normal nuzlocke rules you make a team (matching the number of mons and level of the next gym leader) with pokemon obtained only from the routes leading up to the battle, for example say in HG/SS and the battle against Claire you'd only be able to use pokemon from route 44 and ice path to make a team of 4. If you want you could do it so its the first encounters the route or to have a bit more flexibility, complete freedom to do whatever you want. Either way man, keep up your stuff its awesome.

It's hilarious is that this video came out today and you're using cyber Angel nicknames cuz I just got done with a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament where I played drytron with cyber angels and got 13th out of 106

Are there enough caves in platinum for a fun run? I feel like you could split the encounters between floors for a larger amount of encounters.

I would like to see a horde challenge: you can only get Pokémon found in hordes in X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I don’t think it will be the hardest thing because horde encounters are plentiful, but that is the fun of it: a new set of diverse Pokémon to battle with.

Azumarill is often an underestimated Monster. This nuzlocke demonstrates why its a monster lol

a good hardcore nuzlocke that i tried (and is pretty difficult) is to go for the OPPOSITE of monotype, where you only have one of each type on your team. Meaning, if you chose and stuck with the water starter for example, you couldn't use any more water types on your team whilst your starter's on it, same goes for any secondary types (i.e. if you have empoleon you can't use any other water or steel types, if you decide to use a staraptor you can't use any more normal or flying types, and so on). you can still catch pokémon of the same type, but you just can't use them on your team, so for example you'd have to switch between Gyarados and Staraptor depending on your setup. I did this on emerald version and it's pretty damn hard if you don't plan correctly, the max I could have on my team for a while was around two or three Pokémon, really gotta plan your encounters well so you can maximise your type coverage.

I think a prof oaks ocd challenge would be cool. (made by me, played by no-one i would guess) You have to do a professor oaks challenge, but in order by pokedex. like catch and evolve a bulbasaur fully, then catch and evolve a caterpie fully. when the next pokemon is not available in the game like othjer starters, skip them and when the next pokemon you need is after the gym, beat the gym and catch it. if a auto catch thing happens like a needed gift pokemon, you have to ignore it or skip it later

Whimsicott is great and surprisingly agile, I guess it is just mostly fluff for it's speed to be so high

I know that feeling when you got that Marill I got a random shiny sandile jolly with moxie in white and I was shocked at my luck

@@Direblade11 it is when your pokemon are put into pairs with each pair having one female and male pokemon. A full team will have 3 pairs but each battle you will only be able to use 1 pair of Pokémon unless that pair dies in battle you can use another pair in your party. I haven’t explained it too well but you can look it up. The nuzlocke variant was originally created by marilland. He had a very popular heart gold wedlocke series that you can probably still find today.

Considering that with Nuzlockes the PokeDex is not essential, get the Mark charm early (optional) and do a Mark (and Ribbon) only Nuzlocke. 1. Your starter is not allowed to faint till it has a mark, so you need to keep it in your team till you get a mark (for example Hammerlocke's Effort Ribbon). If it dies before that, the run is over. 2. Catch 5, 10 or 25 Pokemon per route (whatever you think is interesting). If it has a mark, you can use it. If you cannot find one in those numbers, the route is a failure. 3. Duplicate marks are not allowed. 4. Have fun finding fun nicknames to get with those marks. I bet you can think of amazing nicknames. 5. All other nuzlocke rules apply.

Just finished my first Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke successfully with no deaths!

I would love to see a Grass type Ultra Sun nuzlock

Not a Nuzlocke but I did play through Alpha Sapphire twice with only a Male Gardevoir named Oberon. I really enjoyed the challenge and found it was actually better to not mega evolve when fighting the champion.

An small idea: Pokemon hardcore nuzlocke but only attacking moves, meaning no growl or dragon dance. Abilities are fun making it a ability Clause so fill free to not use that and if the move has something with about lowering or rising something that is allowed as long as it hits the target but if you don't want to do that. that's fine as well

I don't see how Wally "abandoned" Gardevoir since ORAS are in an alternate universe to RSE. Also Wally's Gardevoir was male in those games so if anything he's just making the correct, non-weird choice to evolve it into Gallade here.

Here's an interesting idea. Fairy-only run in a Gen before they were Fairy-type.

How does Fairy Only in Renegade Platinum sound? It added the Fairy type, is a harder game, and has updated movesets, and gave Milotic the Fairy type

I have a suggestion for a more challenging Nuzlocke. Do Pokemon Emerald using fairy-types. Use only the Pokemon in Gen3 that would become fairy-type in Gen6 onward. The only ones would be: - Gardevoir - Azumarill - Weezing (fair game since its Galarian variant would be part fairy) - Altaria (fair game since it would be a fairy type upon mega Evolution) - Wigglytuff - Ninetales (fair game since its Alolan variant would be part fairy) - Mawile

Pretty sad that the E4 doesn't have mega evolution

Challenge: Either a mono-type moves (and by that i mean only fyre/water/etc.. type moves) challenge or a metronome nuzlocke

its been late enough what do you think of a challenge that you Nuzelock all main stream pokemon games but through all them you cant duplicate pokemon? like one catch in a game counts for everything.

You got lucky. I have no idea why Steven's Metagross didn't go for bullet punch on your Mega Gardevoir. I thought his AI was programmed to go for priority move when his opponent is faster and low on health.
