When you realize remoraid looked more like a pistol and octillery looked more like a tank. It makes their evolution make a little more sense

Not gonna lie, I get a little emotional when viewing this. Especially with the music playing. Makes me think of my younger self in a different parallel universe. Thinking of all the fun memories that could have existed with these pokemon too. Almost like meeting the kids you weren't able have.

The unreleased evolutions of Tangela and Lickitung look a lot better than the ones we've actually got in my opinion. Same with Kingdra, who looks more like an actual dragon now.

Wintericed It's still a mess of vines, only smaller. Pre volves are just there to waste space in pokedex and time to train them to evolve.

Never understood gamefreak. They start making the 3d models washed to look like the water coloured artwork but abandon that same artwork for new HD rounded style. If people liked the water coloured artwork (myself included) why not make the artwork water coloured like they wanted and leave the pokemon models alone? Someone restored the pokemon 3d models with a mod and they look so much better as vibrant colours from their current design. Look at these drawings by fans! (Well the new ones at least), they look amazing! It's like game freak got everything backwards in terms of art style XD

That's what I heard from an interview apparently. Some amazing fan actually took the time to retexture all the models as they're supposed to look like, I typed "pokemon models recolored" in youtube and got a video called "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG IN POKEMON ULTRA SUN AND MOON - Washed Out Pokemon Colors" which linked (in the video) an Imgur showcasing this fans hard work. All 3d models are not only animated, but they are recoloured to match their older sprites. The animation also swaps back between the fan-fix and the original ones in the games. Using this it's very clear they wanted a watercolour design for the models but... it feels more washed out than a coloured style. Maybe if the artwork was like it that would be good; but the models look awful. Just look at parasect and starmie, it's like someone coloured them in and a bully tried to rub it out :/
