10 year olds ranking cards based purely on price... it's cool they're in touch with the market, but 🤦‍♂️

Is it just me or do people care more about the prices of cards then the cards. Straight up the illustrator should be high in saying that ask most people about it and that cant tell you what's its from and why it was given out. just one guys opinion.

I was thinking the same thing. The younger kids being fixated on price was what surprised me the most.

Sad to see kids tier listing cards based off price and moving them because prices go up or down... and not because of the art or something. Also the paldean fates charizard SIR is vastly superior than the 151 version... 151 is just in the back, small, and doesn't show off charizard. The paldean fates one is the best art in S&V and is criminally underrated.

man crazy thing is I'd probably only have 1-3 in S tier and my list would look insanely different over anybody else's, like I'd put blastoise in C tier because even though I grew up with gen 1 I just consider that card in particular to be lazy af, charizard and venusaur got original art so I'm not sure why poor blastoise got stuck with the stock image......I'd put illustrator in A or B tier because despite it's legendary status it was never available to the public in any way/shape/form so no one really cares for it outside of investors or collectors, I know it was a prize card but they could have at least made a promo or alternate art version to honor it's history...maybe for the 30th anniversary. but what's really bizarre to me is elementary schoolers being so obsessed with card grading and their value, 15-20 years ago pretty much nobody talked like that, even grading cards was considered something weird/sketchy, now you're gonna see way more kids collecting slabs since gamestop partnered with PSA.....not saying that's a bad thing either, people can collect how they want, but I've been around long enough to see my hobby go from a weirdo thing to blatant hypebeast/FOMO behavior. anyways yeah, i know those are "lame" opinions in the eyes of most people in this hobby, but just putting that out there.

It's unfortunate that a lot of the kids are judging them based on the price. I can't fault them, of course, but it is interesting how prices can affect someone's view of a card. Great video nonetheless. I love the concept.
