I think "small black holes" is pretty reasonable. "Small" is a LOT of leeway for describing black holes, given that we currently and routinely create small black holes ourselves, as a matter of course! In fact, it's a lot more farfetched to suddenly draw the line at magical and mythical creatures creating black holes when pokeballs are bigger on the inside and we can store and retrieve living beings on computers.

Just checked. At no point does Gardevoir learn Shadow Ball without the assist of a TM. Not in movepool, not as a carryover from Kirlia, and not as an egg move. As such, this would require every Gardevoir to have their trainer teach them Shadow Ball upon evolving for this to be an accurate pokedex entry, and would possibly allude to black holes being in the entries for Pokemon who learn it by level up

Good point but in my opinion since Gardevoir can use shadow ball and is stated to (not sure how to word this) like its trainer more than normal Pokémon it could be similar to mega evolution and it just creates a really bs shadow ball when it’s trainers in danger since Gardevoir having a pocket dimension doesn’t sound right

​@@thelostwanderergames4287Gardevoir can only learn shadow ball through a TM, not by leveling up, egg moves, or tutors. Only by a TM. Meaning if the black hole is just a shadow ball then every trainer with a Gardevoir intentionally teaches them that move.

Gardevoir's entire pokedex collection is nothing but various explanations of how much Gardevoir loves and adores its trainer, and it is even called the Embrace Pokemon. It hugs people so much, it is NAMED for hugging. It will kill to keep its trainer safe and happy. And people are shocked that a sea of lonely nintendo boys quietly fell in love? And then they give us a version in a wedding dress? And now there is a mecha version! And yeah, I know Nintendo says Iron Valiant is known for its cruelty but first off, it's from the future it can't be known for much of anything, and second, my Nebula is a sweet little lady who loves to do courtsies and take naps.

Just trade one onto Soul Silver or Heart Gold and max that friendship up and make sure she's following you outside her ball. It's just a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but it's honestly the most intimate I've experienced in a main Pokemon game. My Gardevoir according to the game text after picking up a mysterious item and I decided to let her keep it, turned out to be a golden leaf and she used it as a hairpin. Not even kidding, if my DS didn't break I'd screenshot it

I did cause I only use female Ralts line lmao, just my aesthetic though. Male I make into Gallade and box him, usually because I already have a fighting type or have something with fighting type coverage. And I have Gardevoir for special coverage since lately I can't trade evolve any trade evolutions right now on any game besides Legends Arceus. And I still don't have the new games. Otherwise idk of any other special/psychic user that I'd like. I'm using Aegislash for the first time on Sword, never used it before in previous games. And wasn't able to get X, Y, or ORAS before the 3DS lost the eShop. Only 3DS Pokemon game I have is Ultra Moon

In terms of physics the “small” black holes Gardevior could make would pretty much kill everything, and if we’re talking really small then it’d just decay away quickly. The Pokedex has to be wrong on what exactly Gardevior is doing here, it’s that or their physic power is so strong they can literally force a Black Hole to somehow not have the gravitational forces that they should have. Also get some help, don’t fuck Pokémon.

I think UNITE explains what this means very well just from visuals. It's not an actual black hole, but to the Pokédex writers it may seem that way. The black hole may just be some very strong singularity that is capable of dragging Pokémon in to damage them (but not destroy them). Just like you said, it chooses how it breaks the laws of physics, not that it abides by it like every other Pokémon does.
