I love this narrator. As adults we played the original Diamond and Pearl games so I love how he is explaining the game for the younger audience who never experienced the games first :)

Pokémon is truly magical. I feel the same way as I did when I played at 12 years old.

Pokémon Diamond is where I first started playing since I was 9, and now my favorite game has arrived, I can finally visit and experience again the nostalgia I've been doin when I was a kid..

For me what I loved about the original was the battle frontier however the remake alot of qol improvements in it Im able to see while playing that honestly cant go wrong playing either one. The update I have made the music sound so much better! The graphics arent as bad as people make em out to be. Honestly the new team galactics theme was one of my favourites to listen to! The poketech and ability to use a hand cursor to move and use each one, pressing R to take out a miniscreen for the poketech in the corner and holding R to hide it takes some getting used to but also makes sense since u have to be able to do it in docked as well!

I gotta say i’m so happy they brought back the poketech back. It’s a little thing that they didn’t have to bring back, or they could have modernised it, but they kept it just as low tech as it was back then, and that makes me so happy. Now we just need badge polishing back!

I played Diamond back when they came out as I was going into high school. I remember feeling like I was to old to buy them but falling back in love with Pokémon when I played it. One of the best regions to explore and Piplup is best boy. There’s so much nostalgia on this but I’m buying Diamond when it comes out 💎

@RandomName I can understand your point. Personally I feel like the game should be worth $40 at most. The games took a faithful approach, which explains why there isn't too much of a change. On the bright side they fixed some errors and added new features that the original DP didn't have or struggled with.

My first pokemon game was X and i am so excited to play for the first time in the Sinnoh region

Can you blame us? It was a good mechanic as it was something you had to plan ahead of time for before battle rather than being a panic button like Dinomaxing. In other words it required actual strategy to utilize its maximum potential rather than Sword and Shield's get out of jail free card seeing how any of your Pokémon could do it at any time with almost zero consequence. I'd be surprised to see it return too, but I still have hope!

@@TurkeyFaceX I don't blame anyone because I liked them as well, but it's plainly unrealistic to expect mega evolutions to return any time soon(or possibly ever) and the sooner the community at large comes to accept that fact the better.

@Protostar Mirage the one thing worth mentioning is megas did breathe life in to a lot of pokemon that were just awful on all fronts, so in one way I do miss them but I am glad to have a metagame that is more baseline if you get what I mean

@@throwaway9347 Well no Megas in this game sure, they didn't exist in diamond and pearl. Still crossing my fingers for their return in future entries. Its unlikely, but I still have a shred of hope.

Let's hope this trailer means we can skip the seemingly endless in-game tutorials ^^

@@rage8010 you're right. There are no other real tutorials ingame, but you know what I mean :-) The first hour of every pokemon game, you get interupted every 5 steps for some explanation of something most of us know already. Just like we knew most of what was told in this trailer as well.

I mean, the game has been leaked days ago and we pretty much know everything about it at this point. Only way their could be something completely new at this point is if there a day 1 patch that adds sonething completely new.

the way said "stickers" just reminds me on how some of the characters from pokemon and other animated shows talk sometime

I LOVE how Sandgem Town and Route 209 music sounds

most people don't seem to notice but i think it's amazing that pokemon isn't using these little 16x16 sprites for pokemon and items and instead are going for drawn pictures. nice change of pace!

@@BLZRDD the pokemon i could see that but not the items. the items have a certain... flatness? to them. (though them making models for all the items in the inventory would be debatably even cooler ngl) but either way, it still is nice that they aren't using those tiny sprites for everything in the menus. as much as i like pixel art it gets a little old after around 25 years and having a clearer picture is nice too.

I'm honestly really looking forward to this, Platinum is my favourite Pokémon game and while I still consider it the definitive version, I'm still excited to return to Sinnoh with Gen 8's updates. Also, it looks like you can have Pokémon follow you outside of the park like in HGSS and Hey You, if so, then I'm even more excited, I love that feature.

Yeah it does have the following Pokémon like in HGSS. It was previously confirmed in an earlier trailer…I want to say it was the second trailer they announced it’s return.

It's surprising they're using both "Hikari" and "Dawn" for Dawn's name during the overview trailer

People need to learn the difference between art style and graphics. The graphics are fantastic, dynamic lighting, the battle backgrounds are amazing, the water looks like you could taste it.

The art style is the least of my problems. I'm more worried about the fact that there's no Megas, or any Pokemon from gen 5-7, or the Battle Frontier, and I bet the game won't even have high quality animations, will it? I have a bad feeling that the game isn't going to be anywhere near worth $60. : (

The Grand Underground looks like the perfect addition. I just really hope areas/pokemon aren't locked behind late/end game requirements.
