Okay, it's been several weeks, and I'll say that the OLED screen is fantastic, as well as the kickstand. People who don't own a Switch or have the v1 Switch: if you plan to play handheld often, this model is worth it! Unless you're on a budget, in which case the Lite model is good as well.

The Switch OLED is the first Nitendo product Ive ever bought and I couldnt be happier. In combination with the Splitpad Pro Joycons, its exactly what I imagined the perfect handheld would look like throughout all the years: A huge screen with almost no bezels and attachable Controllers. Just very unfortunate that you're required to spend the same amount of money for accessories as for the console itself.

I’ve had this for a year now. And it’s still great. Wide adjustable stand is so much better. I really am a fan of the white design. And is so much comfortable and fun to use.

I still return to this trailer for the song. Good memories. I got my OLED on launch and have no regrets as a Switch owner of three years.

I have no regret upgrading to the OLED model, it actually made me play tabletop mode more, especially the Assassins Creed games it's phenomenal.

@@fotiskantis The PS4 controller is one of the worst controllers I have ever had the misfortune of using. I buy a new one straight from the box and it always has ridiculous drifting. I return it and get another one. Same stupid issue again. I seriously don't get why Nintendo is the ONLY one that gets brought up on the discussion of analog drifting. The PS5 controller uses the same exact awful analog module as the PS4 controller, so it too is going to have drifting problems. It's embarrassing.

Ok, Now that this has released, this version of the Switch is surprisingly good. I like it. It really shows that even the smallest changes make a big difference. Looking back at the Games, The Switch is starting to become a favourite of mine, now that I can use the Kickstand without it breaking off. Pros: Better Memory. Very Much appreciated, so big Thanks. There's just so many amazing Games I enjoy. I like the Slightly bigger Screen it makes Better a Local Multiplayer experience. Oled Screen. Punchier Colours and Better Contrast, better viewing angles and Overall image clarity, and is safer on the eyes. (I would appreciate if there was a Colour temperature slider in an update for all Switch models to relieve Eyestrain. It should be under the sub menu by holding the home button). Really good Kickstand. Yay! Slightly better sound, which still sounds great. Minor con: Potential Screen retention issues. (VERY RARE). This shouldn't be too much of a problem if the console is not played obsessively in handheld mode with the same Game with the same UI in place at high brightness levels. I think there should be a logo detection system in place to further reduce the risk of permanent Screen retention, and the brightness bar should indicate the high risk zone in red past the halfway point. Overall: Probably the best Console so far. The Joy-cons are my favourite Controllers for motion controlled games. (Only that I have really big hands). My recommendation is to make more of your games have the option to hide the UI to further prolong the lifespan.

I remember 2 years and 2 days ago. I was in my science lesson and secretly went on my phone without the teacher’s permission. I saw the notification for this and told loads of people that the “Switch Pro” trailer is out.

My sister has had the older Switch for a few years now, I decided I wanted one as well so I could play with my friends. I bought it 2 days ago and man what an amazing screen. Played on TV like normal, played handheld which is amazing and it’s so clear and also the new kickstand is a nice feature. If you want to upgrade, it’s not really worth it because not much has changed. However, if you’re a newcomer like me then it’s definitely worth it if you can afford it!

Nintendo, Playstation and Microsoft all have the same joystick module problem. I wish KZreadrs, Twitch streamers etc... complained about drift, more than they do KZread being family friendly or the new Twitch meta. The companies would have to listen and would probably do something about it

I got so excited the Tuesday this was announced!

this is how the original switch should have been. they had all the technology in 2017. I took them 4 and a half years to put in current technology. Shame on nintendo tbh

I know. I tried to prop up my switch with that tiny one inch one when I first got mine last year and all it did was twist around and flop over. I had tk buy a 3rd party stand to prop it up so I could play without hooking it to the TV. I mostly play my lite now though.

not missing out on much you know, its basically the same thing as a switch. don't feel bad about it. this makes no sense tbh, just a damn cash grab. its a decent option tbh for a person who never had a nintendo switch before

It feels so much better to own one in real life than see one in a trailer. The differences are actually quite massive in comparison then.

features: 1. 10% more screen 2. new speakers 3. new stand 4. new dock 5. new color 6. ethernet cable in dock 7. $50 more bucks than a normal switch

wider kickstand is something i would like bc of the crappy normal one breaking on mine after a year but the hardware limitations and pathetically terrible controllers of this system are much bigger problems

I remember when splatoon fans made 4 minute analysis videos of the 3 second splatoon 3 clip

It'd be cool if the tablet or controller could be used for a microphone, or even an external headset that was sold, but I don't really think this is a fair gripe. Considering the incompetence a lot of Switch Online indicates, though, I'm sure it's for the best that we have to use our smart phones, no party chat is much better than barely functional party chat that further runs down the network speed of the console

I recently upgraded to the oled model, I absolutely love it. Everything is a huge improvement, HOWEVER, I can’t tell that much of a difference in audio from the old switch. I LOVE the bigger screen, and the bigger stand. I hated the old flimsy stand. And I love the white. And the glossy screen is gorgeous. BUT the seems on the screen is quite big around the screen, so dirt gets in there very easily, the only thing I can get it out with is a razor blade and that is risky. The old switch the seems we’re so small that this was never an issue. Honest review? 10/10. The flaws are so minimum compared to the things I love about it. Huge improvement. Oh and one more complaint I have, this is just personal tho, the back of the dock, I dislike how the cover to the wire ports just pops off, I much more preferred when the back just opened up with hinges. But like I said. My complaints are so minimal.

a 10/10 rating is a bit biased after you've mentioned the dust getting into the seams around the screen. For the dust use a firm toothbrush.
