Me when point cost buff: Yay, my army is better! Me when point cost nerf: Yay, my army is cheaper! I might actually rum Death Company Intercessors now.

As a Necrons player, a lot of the nerfs were good for the health of the faction overall, however I'm surprised that stuff like Monoliths got an increase and Warriors didn't get a slight decrease. Sad skeleton brick hours

I felt that 'Get In' for Tactical Marines in the depths of my spine 😂

On deathwatch, I myself have just started running a 10 man squad of heavy intercessors instead of my gravis kill team. I do miss having 4 models with heavy bolters but a cheaper unit with some heroes has made the rest of my army more flexible.

Ive stripped my Sisters Army and repainting for the new codex. I love this channel for the help with my Ladies!!

Custodes didnt go down. The green adjustments are from the codex points that weren't used. Most units did not go down or at most went down 10 points on a leader that was nerfed into they ground.

The secret summer codex is going to be an overall inquisition codex. Combined agents, assassins and deathwatch. Thats why they weren't touched. They might also roll Grey Knights into it but less certain on that.

I'd say something nice about the new Ork points, but I'm still mad about the surprise FW culling.

I am happy with both Sisters and Genestealers point changes. I was thinking about getting vehicles for Genestealers after buying two combat patrols, so this works great for me and I have finally gotten lots of units for Sisters from shop. :D

YES! As a votann player I am happy that we got only buffs after the last one in which we got only nerfs :D

I just noticed the triumph of saint catherine is basically just the coffin dance meme but they also do emotional damage Also a lot of the problems with a lot of he armies right now having a very one sided meta could easily be fixed if GW gave half of all factions one more detachment for every second released codex And Genestealers need more units I hope we wont just get another HQ Maybe a big drill on weels as a vehicle like the thermite pattern assault drill but more genestealer - ish Maybe a tall slender mutant created by the biophagus or maybe a couple small improvised bomb drones controlled by a cultist Anything better than the propaganda DJ Please for the love of the four armed emperor

I’m pretty new to þe 41st millennium, so I’ll probably come back to þis video a few times as I familiarise myself wiþ þe terminology, but þis will be fun! I’m usually on þe AoS side of Warhammer, but my broþer forked out þe cash to make a Sigmar army just so he could play wiþ me, so I shall do þe same. I’ve often found myself drawn to þe GSC, so I did my research to ensure I’m not jumping in blind - and here we are! One sleepless night and nearly forty videos later, I’ve got my first batch of Neophytes on þe way and Gaunt’s Ghosts to kitbash into leaders. Þank you for helping me know what I’m getting into. Tactical Marines getting a points reduction is good. It's still bonkers they were made objectively worse from the Index, by taking away their Fall Back + Shoot and replacing it with an ability that could have just been an option for model number, like it is with every other unit. But making them cheaper IS good. But Jesus Wept, why is AdMech getting points cuts AGAIN? They should not be a horde army! Stop making them a horde army, James Workshop! Make the units better and more costly!

Admech will be better (maybe) but they have to wait another 3 months after waiting since November to be good

I think at this point the only affordable way to play Admech is to 3D print or just scratch build a bunch of beadbots and use them as castellan robots

Well with grinders at 130. Imma try 2 in a list with a Alpha jackal biker to see how hard they can hit with a ridgerunner supporting

I run Dark Angels so I got only good news with my points update, stuff that I thought was just unusable is now more viable, bringing the Lion is now worth it since 300 points is more in line with what I think his abilities do in terms of point cost, and the Inner circle companions being now 90 I might consider bringing some of them since I can now justify their cost, with Deathwing Knights going down to 215 I will now be able to squeeze in probably 1 or 2 smaller units

Aeldari got some MSU units increased in points, but we got several that got reduced.

Abberants should have remained at 165 having them cost more then a LR tank is insane

I only just started my list so only effected my one rock grinder and my 5 aberants but as a rusted claw fan the vehicle drops made me excited. Saying that it did free up enough points for my biophagus to get inscrutable cunning

The only reason Ad Mech are a Horde army is they haven't started fielding their new robots(that they need to design) yet. Because otherwise, yeah, they're just a bunch of humans with no power armour or anything, of course they're a horde. They're like if Guard didn't have their tanks and artillery, nothing but swarms of guys.

DW Vets are pointed to take 4 heavy weapons per 5. Right now, the most sensible loadout would be 2 hammers with 2 frag cannons or infernus heavy bolters; missiles' 48" range discourage getting in close, but they want to get in close to make use of the hammers. I'd be more interested in them if you could combat squad 10 of them to have a squad of 4 hammers and a squad of 4 heavy guns, but that's hoping for the DW codex supplement to not screw the faction over

I'll still use my 10-man unit over the tacs, as I feel 6 power swords, 6 bolters and 4 heavy weapons represent a well-rounded unit better than 1 sword, 8 bolters and either 2 specials or 1 and a heavy. That, and the gladius captain + lieutenant + rhino combo fares much better with the statistically more powerful unit

with combos and boosts - absolutely but I am happy that my tactical squads became more viable

Looking forward to genestealer style party bussing with aberrants, as for SoB well I had a valorous heart themed force so not hit too bad. I'm so hoping retributors get a bit more love in the 'dex but hey, our indirect fire didnt get nerfed and pain engines better so no complaints for me :). thanks for vid!

Hmmm, thinking I could use a couple more Crusaders thanks to this or taking my Arco's to 10x. Having said that the drop in Penitents and Mortifiers kind of balances things?

On one hand, I am annoyed to see my Kasrkin and Bullgryn get a point increase. But seeing all but 2 Leman Russ Tanks drop in points, as a Tank Commander I am over the moon.

I'm excited as a blood angel to get a refresh for death company stats. Like death company Intercessors with jump packs. I've got a feeling that when you can only have chainswords, they'll be 90 points, 5 more points than assult Intercessors with jump pack, because the normal assult Intercessors are 5 points less than DC Intercessors

Wait, THAT'S what MSU stands for?! I always thought it meant 'Minimum Size units', and thus I hated it. Always preferred running 10 woman squads anyway, although at 500 points that is very difficult.

Thousand Sons: totally perfectly balanced, needed a few points cuts, and still has 45pt unit spam. By god it feels good to have points go down as 1kSons 😊

Eldar comments: shadow spectres and fuegan had points increases coming, very surprised by guardian drops, scorpion drops and banshee drops are understandable as they are under utilised and support weapons are pretty strong, also phoenix gem increase is understandable as it goes on Autarch every time as a keep it alive for more CP option.

What I really want is a way to spend those little point I allways have over, no matter how worthless the thing I get at this point XD

I looked at the sisters list I won the local store championship with and net -5pts Sisters needed a buff On a serious note the triumph could have easily gone up more and I would still take it

They can't show us the change in points like they do for AoS because incremental granularity for things like wargear was too much of a challenge for 40k players.

Let's see. I guess I can run more Death Korps instead of Bullgryns to maintain my meat shield. I guess now a generic platoon plus an infantry squad with Creed to lob Fields of Fire across the map may not be the worst idea.

Where would be the best place to ask weird minutiae rules interaction questions btw? I say this here bc you seem fairly knowledgeable about Sisters and I'm trying to break into the faction

The adjuistment was based on the codex numbers in the book.

At this point my Deathwatch army is a normal Ironstorm army with a watch master. That's it. I don't even run proteus. Just a bunch of tacticals, preds, and dreads. With a single stormraven. I'm nit sure how to feel about this.

My Sisters LOVE points changes. Nett gain of 15 extra points on 750pt army. So, no crying out loud.

Honestly? The way they changed the points to combat MSU is fantastic. I can still run my 10 henchemen squad, without being punished for mini-squads being too good.

Why does GW punish armies for playing the way they were designed?

Like... are Celestian Sacresants an elite unit anymore? 120 points? No changes to their unit profile? They have a shield! At least give them 2 wounds.

I don't like it, but it is very funny that they functionally gave the Palatine a points increase without actually giving the Palatine a points increase.

I thought MSU was minimum size units…

Lol, every fan in the galaxy begged them to not fuggin drop points in AdMech, so they go and do exactly that...I think that the vast majority of the GW staff responsible for decisions like this are completely out of touch with what the customers want

As a necron olayer I HATE that they target inmortals with a nerf, they are not even good, we just take them cause we need those troops and warriors are so absolutely subpar. 10 Deathmarks now cost 30 pts less than 10 inmortals. Why?. Is not cause they are attacheable, cause that price is already paid on the characters since they already nerfed ALL cripteks. Inmortals didn't need a nerf, warriors needed a buff. We are forced to take even more shit for OC2 troops now.

I hate many of the design and lore decisions GW has made recently, but I will say that the push towards larger infantry units over MSU is something I'm in favor of. Outside of super-elite goons and/or super-durable brick shithouses, it makes zero sense for infantry to be running around in anything less than full squad size. Even 5 seems low, because one lucky shot can effectively neutralize that team's effectiveness. Take Retributors and their current 5-woman limit for example; one lucky lasgun reduces that squad's firepower by 25%, whereas one lucky shot against what used to be a 10-woman squad of Rest would just pop a bolter.

Personally I think this update like the edition is rubbish and they needed to sit on 9th for a lot longer, several armies need full rules reworks now with a bunch of stat changes needed to make units do the jobs they are designed to do, seems the rules team are trying to tiptoe around the issues with the edition which is the game has evolved into a battle of: my broken shit is better than your broken shit.

These changes feel so low effort and pointless. Why did they even bother? Deathwatch, least played army with lowest comp winrate, and they don't even get touched?

I don't think that Custodes are cheaper. Maybe cheaper than what is in the excuse for a Codex, but Wardens, Guard and Allarus are same points as before. I.e. 50,45 and 65 per model. And btw there are no female Custodes and never were.
