Point Samson Fishing and Exploring | Trek to Port Hedland | EP48

Our last couple of days on the road until we trek north to knuckle down in the busy mining town of Port Hedland. Was a great couple of days exploring Point Samson and Cossack which holds some history of the west coast pioneers.
Popped out to flick some lures about, was really hoping for a Tarpon that I heard were around but still managed a couple of Queenies to have some fun with.
We setup in our spot in the caravan park where we'll be setup for the next couple of months to work as hard as possible to top up the bank account.
Thanks for watching!

Hey Jed, it occurred to me that you need to get some high vis on your lures - the fish up there know what is safe and unsafe mate! Righto - I'll show my self out now 😁😁😂😂. Other thought was on a more serious note - filter feeders in a commercial harbour - I'd be re thinking chowing into them. Also, time to give Kel the rod mate! or you are going to starve! Kinda cool you can grab some work and top up the funds! The way you are catching fish Jed, work is probably better use of your time! 😂😂. Seriously, I'm just jealous! Living the dream you two! Wishing you both awesome success! Stay safe, Eat well! 🤠🤙👊🦘

Yeah mate definitely do it! Surprisingly easy to do and at minimal costs, it's hard yakka up here. Long days and lots of work but worth it in the end👍

@@oldmate_adventures sorry mate. I had to edit that a little. Yes. Will be fantastic to lift the feet up and watch my rod with a coldie. Worse part will be selling my 18ft boat for a roof topper. Im not aloud 2 boats hahah. Im sure i will not regret it 🍻👍

@@scale2tail yeah mate I had to do the same, sell the big tub but can always book a charter etc. Roof topper I find is still good for most missions!

@@oldmate_adventures thats what i like to hear mate. Also the easy launch. While on the subject about roof topper. How do you clean it before putting it on the roof. Just a tad worried about salt damage on the ute. I have a colorado. Was thinking of putting a wrap over the roof and bonnet
