It's funny how important Synthesis League was to the story with the memories and Cavas but it wasn't added to the core game after the league ended. Hopefully at some point in the future it will.

I wish they'd keep the lore bits and video officially somewhere! Especially the interaction with cavas once he regains his memory

They made a Dev manifesto about it once. TL:DR They couldn't integrate Synthesis in a coherent way with the rest of the lore

Cant thank you enough for the lore guides. Ive discovered them days ago and im devouring with Kitava’s hunger. And im impressed by how this game that have such complex game mechanics and builds can have such huge and deep lore. Its truly a masterpiece. Im glad that i have more than 1500 hours played. Its even better than i though.

Being a newer player I really wish the seasons didn’t reset the lore each time. I know this stuff can be found online, but I had hoped that I could understand the story just by playing it. Why are key components of the post game story not accessible within the game itself?

So good! I can't wait for part 2! It would be great if ggg could find some way to reintegrate all the synthesis lore that got dumped by the way side - one of the biggest lore developing leagues in 3.0, it's such a shame to see that lore sitting on the bench =(

I agree! The mechanic was a bit of a mess but the lore was amazing, it's sad I hadn't begun recording but thanks to poedb and a Reddit thread that transcribed some quotes!

Yeah, thankfully there's still the data for you to draw on - I really hope GGG hasn't been dissuaded from more lore focused leagues, but with poe2 on the horizon and the synthesis debacle, it does seem more likely that we'll have Leg/Bli/Meta style leagues for the next year. =\

Perfect! I was waiting for someone to tell the story between the shaper and the elder. Yay noodle!

I never got very far into the Shaper/Elder story since the furthest I ever got on any maps were the lower yellow tier. As for Synthesis, that happened while I took an extended time away from PoE. It would be nice if they put a page on their official page (not the wik, or Reddit or elsewhere) that detailed the story to date.

Nope! The conquerors "beat" the Elder but Sirus was attacked/possibly possessed by the Elder right before it was locked into Zana's portal. Just like before, even if you "beat" Shaper and Elder they can still appear; it's just that the Conquerors are now the main bad guy. The story of how Shaper and Elder came to be remains the same. So it's not quite retconned..... Yet. Lol

Since Game of Thrones parents named their daughters Khaleesi. Does that mean POE fans name their daughters Thaumaturgy ?! *BOOH! # CancelChoupetto*
