The problem with late L1 widevine support like the original Poco F1 is Netflix still refuse to allow Full HD support even after the device got L1.

The M4 Pro 5G with the Dimensity 810 is currently on sale for £169 in the UK on the Poco Store app. No mention of the 4g model, or the X4 Pro 5G yet.

very good review, not all youtubers show us things like these. the fact that the m4 has better wifi and has a better camera than the more expensive is just mind boggling

X4 Pro is a successor of X3 NFC, not X3 Pro. X3 Pro is a great device and I don't see why would anyone buy these new Redmi and Poco midrange phones when you still can buy Poco X3 Pro or even Poco F3 for a great price. I have Poco F3 btw.

Hey Chris! Any chance of testing Gcam on the Poco X4 Pro at least? Was surprised by the stock camera performance, hopefully fixed in a software update.

@@Techtablets understandable! Might be worth quickly testing Parrot's gcam, I wonder if that would allow for 4K recording. Honestly a bit crazy these phones don't support it, they certainly have the grunt for it

Thanks for the ever thorough reviews, really appreciate it. I've been an user of Xiaomi phones for a couple of years now, great bang for the bucks. But there is always something not functioning. My current Redmi has problems with the mic when using handsfree calling. This is a known issue with Xiaomi. Also the near speaker sensor doesn't function, so it often happens that when I'm calling, my ear touches the screen, resulting in hanging up 🤬🤬. At this moment I'm looking at the REALME 9 Pro Plus. I'm not a gamer, but do like to make nice pictures. What would you advise, Xiaomi or the REALME 9 Pro? Thanks and keep it going.

That's a lot of money for any of the Chinese manufacturers that's not Huawei, and since their devices have been castrated, you are better off getting a Samsung, Google or Apple. My limit has changed a bit for a brand new phone, but I stop at $300, and even then you could argue that a used flagship would be better, and it is in all the ways that matter. My advice is to lower your spending limit for these Chinese brands, and do it fast, before you wake up contemplating spending over 1k for their flagships.

Even though you state that the X4 Pro has EIS, the footage seems to indicate otherwise. Given that the shakiness seems to be present both on the front and rear cameras (where as the M4 seems just fine), it seems that Xiaomi has once again disabled features for marketing purposes. The SD 695 platform seems to only support 1080p video capture in general which is super weird for a current gen SoC.

Yes seems it actually has no EIS but is meant to and on the screen looked like it had EIS. Really odd the cap at 1080p30 that is quite disappointing

It's great to see amoled screens, finally on Poco budget segment. But I feel that both phones haven't really improved in processing power. Which is a, bit of Shame. However both phones are good deals overall for the price. Great comparison Chris 👍👍

Last year was the best year for smartphones.

Xiaomi & Poco releases this year by far, appears to be holding back instead of having a successor of their previous releases. Might as well skip entirety of their 2022 releases.

Good work on the video, and I'm very disappointed with Xiaomi , the x3 pro was far better and it's price to performance was perfect . Would have liked for you to show genshin impact gameplay on x4 pro not PUBG as potato phones can run PUBG but not all phones can run genshin well

thanks for the video do you have any plan to review "nubia z40 pro " and compare the camera-at least- to other flagships? it's price of 650$ (starting) isn't expensive compared to 1000$ flagships and from some reviews out there,it is not a bad phone and may revive the "z" old series of nubia which were top dogs from china alongside huawei (specially in camera department) before other chinese players come to flagship segments.

I couldn`t find this one from our local store and my brother got me this full in retail box from My World Phone

Basically, a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (X4 Pro 5G) and a Redmi Note 11S (M4 Pro) but without the 108MP camera of the 11S.

I like the displays and charging but it's a no from me. I'll be purchasing the realme gt neo 2 for a few € more.

Is there Wifi 6 on either one of them.

A big letdown.... I was waiting for the x4 pro.... How can a brand go from sd860 to sd695?

ive had my poco m4 pro 5g for a week now. everything works excellent. one thing troubles me. i opened the memory and noticed the system has almost 13 gb of memory. that seems like a lot but, ok. then i noticed 13 gb of memory listed as "other". other!? wtf is other? unwanted trackers? i dont use my phone for games so there's none of that. ads? built in bs? if you are making a vid about this phone.....you need to get some answers....for all of us.

I ordered the X4 pro 5g as wanted a 5g phone. The video stutters on ITV Hub, All4, My5 and Virgin TV Go but strangely not BBC iPlayer. Sent one back and now the replacement has the same problem.

What really confuses me on several reviews of this device (X4 Poco Pro) Is why they often just have the EU plugs instead of the plugs of the person they are sending it to as a review kit. Such as sending an EU plug to Americans, Australians and so on. Why not use the reviewer's nations plug?

@@brunocosta5659 Yes and I am currently using Poco M4 pro 5g with Dimensity 810. Poco M4 pro is actually Redmi Note 11s and X4 pro is Note 11 pro 5g with Poco branding. There was even a rumor that Poco M4 pro would use SD680 from the Note 11. That would even be a even be more disappointing.

How is gaming performance on COD?

X3 NFC camera is so good it performs better than X3 GT, X3 Pro, F3 and most likely does with this new 2.

No tnx I'm good with mine X3 Pro 8/256. Instead making 15 variation of same model, Xiaomi should really consolidate. Obviously they are hit with chip shortage more than other.

Vdo of X4pro is not steady as compare to M4pro in both main and ultra wide cam

M4 Pro has sdcard and audio jack :D

simple, 5G kills the value of a phone like the previous X3 GT. I hope Poco doesn't abandon philosophy of the F1 and X3 Pro with LCDs, plastic backs for better SoCs and value.

Comparison with realme 9 pro

With Samsung supporting 4 years of updates now I don't find these Chinese phones interesting anymore.

I think the m4 pro is more steady while taking videos.

It has better ISP. SD695 support To 1080p 60fps video recording but Helio G96 can do 4k 30fps.

@@Theydas you can test it's panel. It's pretty good. The brightness and the touch sampling rate are quite high.

M4 pro is more stable. I think you are right about the video processing affected X4 pro 5G
