I see some folks are a little disappointed. In my case, I'm upgrading from the POCO F1 so I'm thinking, for me, the X4 Pro will be a nice upgrade and I'm looking forward to checking it out. Update; Compared with the POCO F1 is an interesting experience. I'd say there isn't a wow I've upgraded moment, rather a gradual noticing of pros and cons. The X4 has a nicer screen and much better speakers, so if that's important to you, upgrade. However the F1 is still a smoother and slightly faster device and just feels the more expensive device of the two. The X4 is still growing on me though...

I am not sure about it,but i think i prefer the x4 pro because of the screen because i have the x3 pro and to tell you the truth i have never really used its powerfull cpu since i dont play videogames on my phone so if i could trade it for a x4 pro i think i would go for it.

Nice specs upgrade from Poco X3 Pro. But they should have put the same processor on the Poco X3 Pro the Snapdragon 860. Anyways good review as always. Thanks! Btw I like your wallpaper Karyl-Chan hehe

So they went from sd 860 to 695, video caps at 1080p instead of 4k and it runs miui 13 over android 11... A real disappointment like the redmi note 11 pro, let's hope they don't mess up poco f4 !

Well, these tech channels usually test the game while having a starter account, the others actually test the game's performance with a packed up acc like Golden Reviewer and Adam Lobo TV

Wait, it doesn't let you film in 4k? I have the Poco X3 - and it lets you record 4K 30 fps..... why does the older model have more options for video recording? odd.

Snapdragon 695 ☹ That's a significant step down from the Snapdragon 860 in the Poco X3 Pro.

@@johncomique8272 It is priced a bit better though new (slower) X4 Pro (6GB) is EUR 220. The old (faster) one with 6GB you can get for EUR 250. Still, people may be drawn in because it looks like the successor of the X3, and for that reason they may be fooled in thinking it is faster.

Bummer that they went for a chipset downgrading (compared to the X3 pro) to accommodate that AMOLED screen and that theoretically 'better' camera.

Can you please confirm if WiFi calling is working on this device as I have the redmi note 9 pro and it is not working for me even though I have enabled in settings I can't get it to work I have poor coverage in my location so this is a big selling point for me when looking at a new phone my provider is Vodafone and even when I contacted them they say it's a phone issues not them any help appreciated long time subscriber

i have the poco x3 nfc and I have to say its really good. camera isn't great but if you know how to get the lighting and stuff like that then its no problem. poco x4 is also really goo but I don't really think that upgrade is a requirement

Awesome, i got the poco x3 pro , the model year after the nfc , its flawless. My processor is more powerful then yours , but your main camera is a bit better then mine.

We can blame it to the weaker 695 5G. As a Poco X3 Pro user I'm sad this phone got heavily downgraded and to add insult to injury they're actually selling it a more higher price than the Poco X3 pro's launch price.

I know a friend who bought the X3 NFC and regretted it when the X3 Pro came out. So there's that 😂 Atleast in this case the X4 Pro is a downgrade.

@@gustavgustaffson9553 DEFINITELY, just know that the Poco x3 pro has an Ips display and a 48 mp main sensor (Tho honestly it takes better pictures compared to the Poco x4, because of its powerful 860 snapdragon chipset )

Do we have the same device? The cameras on my X3 NFC are nothing special, unless you use a GCam which makes very good photos. Also, having Lineage 18.1 on it is a great experience.

@@jonyythetryhrd bro, NEVER ever compare the raw performance of the SD 800 series with a 600 series. Even with the 860 being 2 years old, the difference is still night and day. Unless you're in 2016, where the SD652 did matched the performance of the failed 808 and 810 from a year before.

... why do 'newer' phones come out with soc's less powerful than previous phones? E.g., this phone has a qualcomm 695 but the x3 gt had a mediatek 1100. The new motorola stylus has a helio g- something that is not 5g. One of last year's had the qual 480, which is 5g.

I really don't get the point of 108mp cameras unless they're doing pixel binning or using it to enhance the zoom. I would far rather have a more modest main camera that allows more light into the lens with OIS than have 3 separate cameras that are meh for everything

So what specs make the Poco X4 a gaming phone and the Redmi note 11 pro a non gaming phone? I'm not much of a gamer (but my son is and I bought him the X3 last year) and this was ticking a lot of boxes for me until it got to the video spec of 1080p instead of 4k. The Note 10 Pro is 4k but it's not Amoled, ahhh! I was so close!
