Thanks for this review. Gonna be holding onto my F3 for a while until there's a significant upgrade offered by Poco.

Nice comparison, maybe for next comparison video improve the side by side samples. Put both phones on a little jig so the images are similarly framed and the image stabilisation can be compared. Each phone in a different hand is not very good for comparing.

Hi. Could you do a CPU throttling test on both alongside eachother... My Poco F4 GT went down to 60% of initial performance after about 5 minutes (from green to consistently red). I returned it and now have a Black Shark 5 (non Pro) with SD870... It's a pity as the Poco F4 GT is such a great design and feel... I wish they had put SD870 in Poco F4 GT instead... Then I would still own it... Black shark 5 is great in terms of minimal throttling... but feels and looks much bulkier....

The rumor has it that all xiaomi devices that have a processor snapdrago 8 gen 1 has been performance limited by xiaomi, cuz of the predecessor xiaomi mi 11 snapdragon 888 have overheating issue, so then xiaomi just limit the all the performance of snapdragon 8 gen 1 devices

@@clearty5071 Yeah but not only the poco f4 gt but all of the devices that using snapdragon 8 gen 1 and snapdragon 888, coz those chipsets are made by samsung not tsmc.

Omfg I cant decide 😭 theres 50 euro difference between them at the moment (128gb gt and 256gb not gt) and I prefer the design and capacity of the non gt but everything else is better on the gt

Camera on the F4 looks better quality. Better details and colors. But did you film it at the same time? The GT shows clouds while the F4 does not. Also the image stabilization on the F4 seems not to be turned on here. I want to buy a good phone that can film in 4K 60FPS and this seems to be the only option, now deciding on what to take. I have my Poco X3 for a long long time now and it's still not worthy of upgrading if the camera is not much better.

Does the f4gt have Dolby Vision support?

What about the battery performance and heat? Which one of them has more stable temperature?

Hello. Between the F4 and the older model Which phone in practice (not just specs) produces natural (not oversaturated), sharper, low noise, better dynamic range, good low light/night mode photos and great video stabilisation for its main and selfie cameras? Disappointed with Samsung coz of slow performing phones. Had Xiaomi but pushes slow updates. Are the slight improvements worth it? Or what else would you recommend? Please help me choose. I would go for F4 GT, this phone has impressed me, not just great for gaming, but decent camera with stable 4K 60 video recording. Super performance for any task, does not overheat and battery life is also impressive.

I am working on my review, but the F4 GT is amazing. Performance is great, cameras and video recording is very good. Gaming is amazing, I can achieve around 5-6 hours of COD everyday. Never overheats, no throttling no issues what so ever. This has become my daily driver. Love the triggers.

Actually F4 is enough, but you know Pay more & you'll get more perfomance People in my country said F4 is worthy than F4 GT, coz you know Snapdragon 8 gen 1 produce more heat than 870 Or maybe take a look at realme GT Neo 3, this one use dimensity 8100 instead of Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 8 gen 1

Yes you can, Metro PCS work with the T-Mobile network. These phones are unlocked to any network.

The F4 GT has no OIS. In fact, the reular F4 is the first and only poco ever made (so far) with OIS.

yes you're right, but it looks like the digital stabilization on the GT model is doing a better job in videos. in still photos it could be the other way around, i don't know. or maybe the OIS module in the regular F4 is a cheap low performing one.

@@abdullahalammar7291Lens shifting OIS is useless in video capture and worst case can give it a jello like look. OIS is for removing the minimal hand shake that makes images look soft in exposures longer than 1/100s. What stabilises the walking shake in video is EIS, in this the camera crops the sensor to leave a ~10% buffer around the center, then uses gyro data of shakes and movement to disort and scale the center to make it less bumpy and recenter the resulting image. This gives stabilized video the floaty effect, but in turn makes it a bit less sharp due to pixel interpolation. F4GT has a newer and more powerful chipset, so it has more performance to do these scaling and disorting calculations. Either it can do it faster (so do it at a higher frame rate) or it can use higher quality scaling than the F4. Plus the newer chipset has better machine learning and image specific instructions to process the image further.

So you had nothing to add in conclusion and didn't do the overheating test. Benchmark numbers don't matter if the device heats up quickly and performance is reduced significantly.

Only happens when you push the limits of best graphics and only on a couple title games. Still not good for hardcore gaming but casual gamers won't experience this

That's strange I have been gaming the hell out of the F4 GT, battery life is amazing but 4 hours a day, COD mobile, and no throttling or overheating. It's actually an impressive gaming performance. I read another review that mentions throttling, so I was expecting it, but it just did not happen.

Mine consistently went from green to red after about 5 minutes and stayed there... I returned it and got a different phone, but now I'm worried it was just a faulty unit... Although there are many comments online about this model just not coping with the heat and then dropping performance....
