He is the only one who would take over this mess, and he is here to stay, like Arteta did with that team after finishing 8-8-5 with a 3 year contract extension. This is just my opinion… But I think Chelsea usually does best when it’s either a Back 3 or Counterattack football and I think an Italian Manager (ie. Conte, Inzaghi, Gasperini) would probably be better for the club

It’s so basic if you see it for what it is and you understand how football works. You will stop being upset that way.

Rory, as an outsider (Arsenal fan) I dont think the only problem is Pochetino. I love some of your players and Im disappointed in some of them. Really jealous you got Palmer. He was a steal at the price. Overall though, Chelsea has spent an enormous amount of money on young players some of who have never played in the PL before coming to Chelsea. You can call them projects, but in all honesty, they were untested in the PL. Every club has brought players from abroad who look great on paper but dont make it. Look at what happened to us with Pepe. Anyway, my point is not just that they are young and some have never played in the PL. In order to succeed in the PL the players need to play as a team. But more than that, they need to understand the PL and understand what it takes to succeed. There is such a lack of this knowledge of how to do this in your team. In the Liverpool match not one player stood up and said "lads, this is ours to lose. We are going to take this cup home". I do agree that without this experience on the pitch, the only person left to do it is Poch and he failed to do it. We (Arsenal) are still finding our own way to this winning formula. We still havnt won anything under Arteta, but the future looks promising and well placed to do it. I think Chelsea tried a quick fix, tried to buy their way to a good team. You can do this, but you will never find all the pieces you need first time round. It has taken us 4 years to put together a quality team and we still have nothing to show for it. Disappointed for Chelsea as my son is Chelsea through and through. Would have liked to see you have a decent season. One last thing, I am soooo glad we got Trossard instead of Mudryk. He looks great, but seems to have little end product. Maybe this can be rectified over time. Who knows?

As a Chelsea supporter, I understand the frustration. But a dose of reality is required here to quiet the nerves. From 1996/7 to 2021/2 Chelsea were a top six club and we competed with Liverpool, Arsenal, City, United and Tottenham. An American bought the club, spent a billion and turned it into a bottom half side. Now Chelsea competes with Palace, Wolverhampton, Brighton, Bournemoth, Fulham and Brentford. It's going to be this way for some time (am guessing at least 8 more years) so better accept it and start enjoying the matches.
