    Truly I say, the Haka is one of the things that will help keep Maori culture alive, as it is learnt by Maori and non maori school children throughout NZ. Ake ake ake, tihei mauri ora!

    I mean technically I guess they can’t perform it if they don’t have maori blood for a specific occasion like birthdays with only New Zealanders or when they are overseas for something idk,but with other maoris then it’s alright cause I mean the Haka is Maori

    I’m just a girl from the US, but if I ever get the opportunity to witness the Haka in person, that would be a memory I would never forget. Have to give the Māori props, they are badasses

    Every single time I watch a Haka it just amazes me and if you can't feel the emotion then there is something wrong. It gets me every time. Such an amazing thing!! Great job!!

    WOW! This made the hair on the back of my neck bristle. What a fantastic experience and to see all these young people together..doing the Haka.. I would have run in double quick time if I was confronted with this amount of warriors doing the Haka before a battle. Awesome and frightening! What passion and enthusiasm they have. Certainly not snowflakes when this is being performed!😁

    All we used to get to do was sing Gaudeamus Igitur from the "blue book" in the assembly hall! Things have certainly improved! Still setting great tradition and am proud to have been part of it. PNBHS Old Boy 74-78.

    Every time I see the Haka, it does hit home to me… even though I am Dutch, it just simply does! And although I know what a Haka is and stands for, your school system absolutely does not. Could you please explain to me the Year 13, and who the guys on the balcony and below are?

    @Sammy659 year 13 in New Zealand is the final year of high school in most countries they are known as form 7 ... here you see juniors from year9-year12 (on the ground) honoring/farewells and respecting their fellow year 13s brothers through haka and in response yr13s is showing their respects their thank yous to the juniors and also teachers.. hope that makes sense :)
