I lost it when the camera cut to the bride and gentleman next to her mouthing the words to the Haka.🙏

My understanding of the Maori language is extremely limited but I do understand the honor and respect that has been shown in this Haka I got emotional and I am a first generation New Zealander!
The love and respect that you see when they do the chant is crazy!!! These are the men and women that will fight for their country and die for their country! Values, respect and humility are seen when people keep traditional things alive! Much respect!
Perfect timing, passion, not rushed at all, great rhythm, perfect haka
The Haka makes me feel so much emotions! I don’t know their language but I feel the force all through this performance ❤️ really amazing 🤩

The Haka is Maori (New Zealand) the performance of which, originally, was to frighten their enemy before going into battle.
So noble and full of valor and love. May all the participants and this couple be mightily blessed by God their entire lives long.
I always get chills when I see the Haka performed...it lets me know how separated I am from my tribe, never knowing the history of my people, etc. It is a blessing to watch the pride and tears.

Same here. I know my great-grandmother was Native American but thanks to the "shame" of my other white ancestors and the suppression of the records of the late 1800s, I don't know what tribe. My grandfather (her son-in-law) refused to talk about it and by the time I was really interested, my grandmother (her daughter) had passed.
Such honor and love in this, it makes me cry of the joy and strength it shows.. and the love!
I am now 76 years old and the most memorable experience I ever had was to be blessed to be a member of a Haka group many, many years ago.. So emotional and so binding. I will never forget it.
What a beautiful way to start your mariage ❤️ May your mariage be long, happy and prosperus
Love it .... just love it. Very powerful. I respect your culture. And it's so important that you keep your heritage. MAZAL TOV

I've seen several of these videos at work with no sound and I can STILL feel the emotion. Every single one of them, I tear up! It's amazing to watch. I'd like to experience it in person
Im filipino. Due to colonization a lot of our culture has been diluted. I love that maori culture thrives. I love the haka because it shows so much passion in ones culture!!!

Wow that was intense, I could really feel the emotion. The culture, the tradition are beautiful. And the bride and groom loved it. Cheers to a blessed life together!!
Just think if this were the bride's brothers doing this Haka. If you are the groom the message would be crystal clear. If you are a father whose daughter is getting married, this is the intensity of the support base you want to have for her. Very moving piece.
The most beautiful expression of pure masculinity. I love it...

Wow this is a brilliant Haka it's such a great cultural performance.
Haka always makes me cry. So powerful. Much love from Turtle Island 💖
Wow. I was impressed! A good example of why I should get to know other cultures better.
Wow. That was awesome. I don't know if someone, like me, could learn to do this convincingly. It wouldn't be for lack of desire, though. What these dudes from New Zealand do, in the form of a haka, is powerful and soothing to hear.
So beautiful...culture-affirming performance!! Keep it real & keep it alive. Thank you!!
Que lindo! Emocionante!😍💚💛🇧🇷
Nothing on Earth has as much Raw Primal Gusto inducing like a HAKA!! Live!!! Wooph!!!
Wow. Commitment to being protectors is what I feel and see. Beautiful!
Love this! What a performance!
At what age do they learn how to do the Haka? The words and the movements seem to have such intense meanings. It blows me away!

Back in the 1960's Maori were still losing the battle for cultural identity. At that time people came forward to say "no more" and very slowly with the aid of incredible Maori leaders the people began to take back their language (it wasn't allowed to be used in schools) and their identity. The resurgence of the haka really began to grow and with the strong belief in bringing up their children into the culture children started learning the haka and dances that had been handed down for generations. So, to answer your question, as soon as they can stand!

Its very Generational ,bequethed by our ancestors who we carry & honour & pay homage to everytime we dance & sing! We believe our babies learn from conception, ever heard the term " BORN WITH IT ?" well thats it...& Heres Why....If the parents are able to Speak - korero( our talk ) & Dance - Haka (our dances) or if their brought up around our talk & dance (not all are) then the baby hears, feels & learns via the mother in the womb..After the baby is born they absorb everything in their environment.via Ceremonial Proceedures, family etc.etc.Our ppl Excel at "Sound" .We are from an Oral Language Society ,everything about us is SOUND BASED! NATURE, BIRD SONG, THE ELEMENTS, THE SEASONS, EVERYTHING..😊 Everything we sing & dance connects us to our Ancestry, PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE to our Tribal history, Significant Tribal & Familial Events ,Wars.....of everything..
And all i got at my wedding was tea and cakes!
