I passed my PMP exam yesterday on my first try and received my official certificate today. I wasted a lot of time and money on other training resources before I found your KZread channel. In the past two weeks, I've watched ~20 of your videos and studied your PMP Exam Immersion book that I purchased as a PDF. The book is easy to read. The videos are easy to understand. The clever ways you teach the material makes it easy to retain (URNS L), (MKMK), (EV is king). Thank you for what you do!! I wanted to let you know that it made a difference.

Hi, i I am a little bit confused with the naming in PMP study hall questions, a lot of questions contain - the stakeholder's management plan, whereas in PMBOK is a stakeholder engagement plan. And no the stakeholders management plan. are they the same things?

Exactly. Rather annoying to those who know the REAL PMI terminology.... because some of the people writing the study hall questions are not as thorough and not following PMIs convention. I cannot tell you how many unfavorable reports I get about study hall's inconsistency! Please ignore it and do your best to understand the reasoning. You will do well on the test. The questions on the real exam are not as scattered and sometime incorrect. Cheers!

Yes it was called a stakeholder management plan in previous publications like PMBOK 5th Edition but changed in the 6th. The general idea is that you cannot "manage" your stakeholder. You manage their engagement.

Hi. Why is the intermediate questions 29 and 31 the answer was asses, and in question 30 was talk to them instead of asses? I'm confused about question 30.

In Q 30, the assessments ends there and does not result in ACTION like option B does. Option B does not just assess it takes action to ADDRESS the misconceptions.

Q29 & 31, You just identified them - they are not engaged, so you need to assess their needs FIRST. You need to follow the things you do in identifying stakeholders first (Stakeholder processes for Identify Stakeholders). Remember the 4 processes for Stakeholder Management?

HI, is the stakeholder register controlled document ( require change request) ? how can we change it? can we change it without changing engagement plan in case of new stakeholders? What should we change fist: engagement plan and then register? In case we have new stakeholders. Many Thanks Midway through a project, the project manager identifies new stakeholders. Each of these new stakeholders plays a different project role. Why not option B(Review the stakeholder register) PMP Exam Midway through a project, the project manager identifies new stakeholders. Each of these new stakeholders plays a different project role. What should the project manager do first? Meet with the project sponsor to learn if new roles have been created. Review the stakeholder register. Submit a change request to the change control board (CCB). Update the stakeholder management plan. Solution: D Update the stakeholder management plan.

Yes. The stakeholder register is just a project document. Except expressly stated, it is not subject to rigorous change control, so as stakeholders come and go, the project manager should proactively update the register without any stakeholder engagement plan updates necessary. Depending on the specific question, if a new stakeholder comes on the project, update the register FIRST. Establish their presence. Next, plan how to engage them if a different process is required. Depending on the stakeholder level and salience, you may or may not need to update the plan.

@@Martini-nz8ud I get where they may be going but it's still not on-par with the actual exam. I cannot count how many times I have heard students confused by this question you share. The PMI has bigger concerns to test you on, on the real exam. This is in my mind more word play. I have posted my opinion about study hall and do not defend their poor question approach. This doesn't even fly in the real world. New people join, update the register. The plan may never even get created let alone updated.
