Dear Emanuel, thanks a lot for another great video and the whole channel, I really enjoy the detailed information you share. Please clarify if it is the rule to set transition level 1000 feet higher than stated in the chart. At 11:18 you set 6000 feet, and mentioned transition layer.

Hi, the transition layer needs to be at least 1000ft, so the actual TL will depend on the QNH. In real life the TL will always be broadcasted on the ATIS so you don't need to worry with how to calculate it. In the sim make it easy: QNH 1013 or higher: 1000ft Transition layer. QNH 1012 or less: 2000

And if we have variable transition level in charts, for instance Trans level: FL050 FL060 if pressure is less than 996 hPa (747 mm) FL070 if pressure is less than 960 hPa (720 mm) will in that case transition level and transition layer both depend on actual QNH or there will be some differences? @@A330Driver

Great vidéo !! One question about the ILS category, you say that the 737 is a class charly category airplane but is the 737ng able to do a category IIIc landing ? why do you choose the I ILS category and not the II or the III ? Thanks for your answer.

Hi, the class C category does not refer to ILS'ses, but to the approach speed. There are so many different catetorys that are all named a, b, c, d, e and so on that refer to different things. I should have made it clearer, sorry.

3:27 When loading my SimBrief flight plan, the system seems to calculate another Cruise FL. Am I supposed to accept that ?

The only reason it may do that is if there's a constraint on your route that is higher than the cruise level entered. Make sure to review the SID and STAR and route and make a proper decision.

Hi, again many thanks for all those wonderfull tutorials. Sometimes simbrief plans Step Climbs For Example : FL STEPS LFPO/0370/LUVAL/0390/SPL/0190 , how do you handle this , and use the FMC to plan this kind LVL chg

Wait until the FMC OPT reaches the step level, request your new level from ATC and dial it into the MCP. Once you then press ALT I TV it'll start the climb and will adjust the FMC cruise level. Don't forget to update the FLT ALT on the cabin pressure computer on the overhead.

@@A330Driver Thanks . I understand. So, what is the "Step" field made for (upper right on the CRZ page ) ? I tried to enter the 1st step as the CRZ alt , then if i enter the next step in this field, the FMC seems to calculate things for me , ( shows distance and a s/c point on the route , which according to documentation stands for step climb)

Do you plan to make a video on how to read navigraph charts? What to look for, what they mean, ...

Just curious, as a real airline pilot how are you able to manage your time to create so much great content for flight simulation?

Oh there's a lot of free time available during the rest periods. Yesterday for example I landed at 1 o'clock at night, but today my work started only at 16:45 so I had the whole morning and noon available.

I wonder to what extent the released product will resemble the real world plane. Or to narrow my question a bit more: Which major systems/ functions will NOT be available right from the start? But I'm sure you won't be able to talk about that now 😅

As far as I can tell the only major system that's not implemented is CPDLC and that's mainly because it's not possible due to Asobo restrictions. Yes, I know some other planes have it, but they are made in a simpler programming language, in which it would not have been possible to make something as complex as the 737.
